About Chapel 3-D: The Ascent
🖐️ Unlimited power at your fingertips! Start off as a feeble weakling of a human being and transform into a terrifying fire-breathing monster by separating your heart from your body. Beware, however, as gaining such power is a cardinal sin and you will have to pay for your transgressions.🖐️ Set out on a daring, inter-dimensional escape and travel between various different worlds to flee the wrath of your enemies.
🖐️ Use your newfound powers to your advantage; throw your heart around and teleport to it at will. Run, jump and traverse the levels nimble as a cat and feel good doing it thanks to the fluid movement system.
🔥 Get on the offensive and use a variety of deadly spells at your disposal in fast-paced, break-neck pace combat. Being a forsaken beast of a man has some perks, after all.
🔥 Try not to get distracted as you marvel at the carefully-crafted beautiful locations, all in nostalgic retro-inspired aesthetic.
🔥 Finally experience the story behind the events of Cathedral 3-D and become one with the monster on your screen.
🔥 Run, jump, fight, dive,
🔥 SURVIVE.

Great game, but it keeps crashing. Also, a bug prevented me from progressing: an enemy clipped through the bottom of the map, and since it was a wave-based section, I couldn't kill it to open the door. Since there are no saves (FFS!!), you have to restart the entire game if anything goes wrong. I really hope these issues get fixed.3 found this helpful
Short dark fantasy boomer shooter. Has 2 levels and can be beaten in like 20-30 minutes.3 found this helpful
The good: -love the artstyle. -character feels bouncy(in a good way) -Its free. -its 67 megabytes, so small by most game standards. -movement tech bug I found that can send you to heaven. The bad: -no explanation for anything that I could find. -combat feels clunky(in a bad way) -total of 4 enemy types, 2 are identical and I could not find a difference besides one projectile having gravity. -potion system is wack it needs a redo. -the sword needs a system rework, and the spells themselves are fine, its just extremely clunky switching spells. -you have 2 hands why can't you swing your almost weightless blade and shoot? -I would be fine with the fun unintentional movement tech if it didn't have the chance to despawn the play area. -it is not "breakneck" or "violent" and my first thoughts were "this would be a good introductory videogame for a child." A explanation to "going to heaven" Johan .B cross's skeleton is extremely bouncy, to the point where he can bounce off of any surface after falling. The main issue is that the dev for this experience only has a single dimensional line originating from Johan's pelvis pointing down to detect whether of not Johan is touching the floor.
