It’s chess with some very pretty graphics and VR support, but at the end of the day, it's just regular chess. The menus are clean and the online matchmaking works, though finding a populated lobby can sometimes take longer than expected. Unless you desperately need fancy lighting and shiny boards for your matches, you're better off playing for free elsewhere.4 found this helpful

Very Nice
The good Beautiful graphics, pieces and sounds. The bad Unfortunately the good is where it all ends. Having to delete previous games in order to start another is certainly bothersome. I am not the first one to complain about this. Game is effectively abandoned. Because of this there is no tournaments, insane the achievements are "finish tournaments" when you can't have any even against CPUs. Many things could have been done to improve this game, connecting to chess.com for the sake of tournaments even grabbing random's moving pieces. Lichess. CPUs, anything in order to make those achievements... you know... achievable. The game besides the single player content is dead.
