What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players describe this as a basic wave-based shooter with limited content—just a few guns and repetitive level design—that feels like an unpolished asset-flip template priced too high for what it offers. Common complaints include broken achievements, poor weapon balance, clunky controls (especially jumping mechanics), and the sense that it's a cash grab rather than a finished product, though it does run without technical issues and provides some progression through weapon unlocks and upgrades.
It is not terrible, but it is not a great game, especially not for the price they ask for it. You get a couple of guns are you gotta kill the enemies that spawn in waves on each of the levels and thats it. The achievements for the game are also busted. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (8.0-3).9 found this helpful

Warning: Asset Flip!
Clan monsters is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Gamesforgames, took a template from GameMaker Studio, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam. Gamesforgames has shown a repeated pattern of ripping off GameMaker Studio and Unity assets and dumping them on Steam. Don't believe me? Here's another asset flip from exactly the same template, all shamelessly dumped on Steam as nasty cash grabs:

"Hero Ring", copy + pasted from the same template by Rex Junior
Look for yourself... it's exactly the same game! This unethical behaviour should be no surprise, as Gamesforgames are known asset flippers who've previously taken the work of real developers, changed the name and put their own name on it, so they can sell it on Steam and try to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's work. The absurd price, broken achievements and bad design cast a shadow over this generic shooter. The game takes place in a square area, and your goal is to simply kill all of the enemies. Each location has about five rounds before heading on to the next. Rewards are very generous because you get something after beating a location. It could be a new weapon (there are four in all) or an upgrade to one of your existing weapons. Your beginning gun turns out to be the best. The second shotgun has not enough ammunition to be useful, and the quick machine gun does little damage. Once you've fired all of your rounds, your weapon will automatically reload. This is a bad design choice because you always reload at the worst time. If you use a gamepad, you're out of luck. Only the keyboard and mouse are supported. One feature I really like is a bar that tells you when an enemy is going to shoot. This allows you to plan ahead and move out of the way before you get stuck in a corner. What I don’t like is that most stages use only two thirds of the screen. All actions take place in the lowest section, which has a couple of platforms and the rest is just empty space. This is impossible to manage i…6 found this helpful

Not recommended. There is the start of something here, but it feels like a template. It's not a new concept and the controls need polishing to be smooth. You'll die a lot because of jumping not working the way you expect. The levels are bland and the enemies lack interest. It's too pricey for what you get.1 found this helpful
Is it a bad game? No. Is it worth the asking price? Also no
