About Clarity: The Seven Demons of Vanguardia

Clarity is a casual platformer. It is not a Metroidvania or Souls like game. Clarity combines the players ability to select what order they fight bosses and the love of exploring expansive dungeons with the aid of a map.

Clarity is a powerful magic that emanates from Demons and their spawn. Once a foe is defeated Clarity is collected to power magic spells. These spells will be needed as you venture into dungeons populated with savage enemies and merciless monsters.

Game Features
 • Classic 2D side-scrolling platform action.
 • Player controls include double-jump, dash, sword attack and spell casting.
 • 7 unique levels and Bosses to defeat.
 • You choose the order to challenge and defeat Bosses.
 • Skills and abilities acquired from Bosses create alternate ways to fulfil your goals and progress levels in different orders.
 • Navigate the world of Vanguardia using your wits and a map.

In the game Clarity, the demons represent mental health and other life challenges that people face. As you travel through swamps of poison and caverns of lava you come across the characteristics it takes for the hero to defeat their demons and find recovery.

✦ AI summary

Players praise Clarity's charming art style, engaging character movement, exploration, and accessible controls that make it appealing to both casual and experienced platformer fans. However, common complaints center on inconsistent hitbox detection that forces players to tank through damage, enemies that feel more like obstacles than genuine threats, and long loading times that disrupt the experience. Most players appreciate the game's potential and addictive gameplay loop despite these technical issues.

This is a great game, I enjoyed the fighting and traversing aspects as well as the feel of the character movement. The art of the world and the design of some of the characters was done really well. I also like the message of the story.

The story is ok. But since this is mainly a platformer action RPG I can't really say anything much positive after finishing it, aside from the exploration being a little fun. Traps, enemies and obstacles have random hitboxes so you have to tank it through almost everything, plus the enemies are more of a bother that stands in your way than a real difficulty. The positive highlights are probably just the poison and the lava dungeons most of the time. And the final boss was a bit fun. And also you wait a long time for the game to open most of the times. However I kept playing because it showed a lot of potential, that maybe will bloom in your next game I hope
A great game about fighting monsters
This game really reminds me of Hollow Knight, from the movement to the combat. Clarity has an easy learning arc, for me at least. The controls are available to see right off the bat in the settings menu, and are easily applicable, I'd recommend this game for anyone who enjoys Hollow knight and/or Zelda (possible) Great game, 10/10, would buy again.

I give this game a BIG thumbs up! It's an exciting game for all levels of players who love a challenge. It's fun to play with excellent design and art work, many twists and turns, great music and an underlying story line that gives hope to all who live with challenges in their lives. This game has many of the same elements of more expensive games but at a price affordable for all.

Reminds me of the platform games of my youth. Great game for young kids to play. played for over 2 hours straight and missed dinner (wife wasn't happy) as just needed to do the next bit. Just a little addictive....

Clarity has lovely, vibrant graphics and wonderfully thought out sound effects and background music which were all quite soothing and engaging without overwhelming the senses, and allowing for immersion. After passing through the forest, I fell into the icy depths, and felt an epic retro vibe but with an artistic, modern twist, which let's face it, in a world of games galore, feels legitimately amaZING! I loved my experience finding Clarity. This Hero will play again.
