About coalescent || tidal rapture
In the ocean depths, a society of merpeople begins to undergo evolution and discovers casual relationships. After a painful breakup, the solitary protagonist undergoes a journey of self-discovery and self-denial as they experiment with intimacy, experience physical bodily changes, and try to decide whether or not they want to move to the surface.coalescent || tidal rapture is a hypnagogic 3D swimming/entanglement adventure 3rd-person computer game. It features:
- Two primary gameplay modes – swimming and entanglement.
- A reverse coming-of-age story about a swimmer unlearning normalcy in order to embrace (or not) the new and primal told in three chapters.
- Three surreal cave-based collaged underwater worlds depicted in low-poly 3D and 2D pixel art character and object sprites.
- Three sexy, mysterious and colorful partners who aquaint the protagonist with a different sort of entanglement.
- A retro swimming push-and-pull swimming style inspired by the likes of Super Mario 64, Ecco the Dolphin, and b.l.u.e. Legend of Water.
- A dynamic atmospheric electronic soundtrack with interactive musical plants and fish.
- A five-note singing system with pitch modulation.
- Sing and harmonize with a quirky cast of merpeople characters to establish a telepathic bond and talk about life underwater and what it must be like on the surface.
- At the end of every season, every merpeople migrates together to the next world.
- Four phases: foreplay, main act, climax, and aftercare.
- Control a long and sinuous organ coming out of the characters' back and thrust, entangle, and tie knots with your partner's.
- Explore different touch-based communication styles as the merpeople cuddle and discuss their newfound intimacy.
