I'll be honest, if I didn't receive this game for free, I probably would not have played it but that is only because I choose not to buy any games or many games (especially indie's since there are so many good ones from what I have heard) as a way to keep me from getting addicted (and boy is this game addicting). Although if you are the type to play a lot of games and you are a fan of MegaMan style games then this should appeal to you and definitely worth the 10$ (original price). Everything was perfect from the solid gameplay to awesome spritework and animation create a really nice atmosphere. Wordswurth is hilarious and I love the quips here and there throughout the game, keeps things fresh. I don't like music on all the time when I play games unless maybe if its a story game like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild where it's integral to the atmosphere, not that the music (Wordswurth's Radio) was bad or anything, I thought it was cool how each song and song name is generated, but that said, if you like music filling the ambiance in a game…

Contingency is a great game! It offers a wide variety of challenges in terms of enemy types and puzzles. While at the start you may feel as if the game is very difficult to conquer, the more and more you play you learn what strategies to focus on and how enemies tend to attack, and you will probably feel a sense of satisfaction in overcoming the challenges and obstacles in the game. The powerups go from being too many to keep track of at times, to understanding which ones to use when and which ones to save. My main issues with the game is that the framerate wasn't super consistent, but it's entirely possible that that's an issue with my PC not being the best for gaming. The world itself feels a little small, almost as if this is supposed to be part of a bigger game, but this may not be as bothersome as the game has a lot of replayability in that you can customize your character in so many different ways, from your starting layout to the items you use to the powerups you choose to equip. Overall, I would highly recommend this game, as it is a very fun game and it's well worth your time!

Управление ресурсами, развитие технологий и тактическое размещение юнитов - ключевые элементы, которые требуют вдумчивого планирования. Каждая карта представляет собой уникальный вызов, заставляя адаптировать свою стратегию под конкретные условия. Несмотря на отсутствие эффектной графики, игра обладает отличной реиграбельностью. Разнообразие возможных стратегий и веток развития гарантирует, что каждая новая партия будет ощущаться по-другому. Искусственный интеллект противника достаточно умен, чтобы не давать расслабиться, и заставляет искать оптимальные решения. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую сложность в освоении на первых порах. Внутриигровое обучение могло бы быть более подробным, но в целом, разобраться в механиках вполне возможно. В целом, если вас не пугает минималистичная графика и вы любите комплексные стратегии, 'CONTINGENCY' обязательно стоит попробовать. Это отличный пример того, как увлекательный геймплей может затмить визуальные недостатки.

I enjoyed this game's arcade-style focus. While there is not a lot of variety, there is a lot of beauty in the art and design. Gameplay is easy to get used to - yet I encountered some framerate issues in fullscreen - and I had a great time! I tried the game with all three suits and found each one unique and fun, though I believe the saber is most powerful. The "juice crafting" mechanic is a fantastic new dish to bring to the table! I loved trying to mix the right amount of juice for the best-crafted smoothies in the galaxy. For its price tag, this game is an good and honest effort. Some bugs need to be cleaned up (nothing game-breaking), but I generally enjoyed the experience, and there's nothing like the feeling of getting your money's worth in the arcade machine after you put in the winning quarter. That's how I felt. This is a good game.
