About Copoka
Copoka is an open-world exploratory indie game about a bird building its nest in a totalitarian city state. As a player, you are soaring free, high above the city of Copoka, as a contrast to the citizens below. Your goal is to find and collect twigs for your nest, and as you construct your home piece by piece a story of intrigue and politics beneath around you.
The city of Copoka is in distress. Speakers all around the city proclaim the glory of the Great Leader and how she will bring salvation to a country in need, while people lament in the streets about starvation and dissatisfaction. Something is brewing in the back alleys of the slums. Whispers in the wind tell about a coming uprising, about an end to the suffering and new hope for the citizens of Copoka. Being a bird you can undertake the role of silent observer. By listening to people around the city a more nuanced picture of the brewing conflict is revealed - a conflict concerning clashing ideologies regardless of social standing or allegiance.
Of course, it’s up to you if you wish to stop and listen. After all, what are human concerns to a bird anyway?

[h1] "Open world" is slightly exaggerated. Fly over small town and collect bits of memories from the past. Soothing and very calm game. Worth checking out before sleep but you will not discover much in this one. I can recommend better flying games though like Falconeer, Vane, InnerSpace, Secrets of Raetikon, Skye or Gathering Sky. Short and very relaxing, Copoka isn't a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon. I found the world charming and achievements fun to obtain, taking me out of the way to look for secrets I wouldn't have found otherwise. It can be a little janky, and I wasn't a huge fan of the "no detail" art style, but it's worth the price of admission at $5.1 found this helpful
I keep coming back to this game because its balanced flight feels responsive and good with dynamic music which takes flight as you do. One of my favourite things to do is to fly as high as I can get. (^-^) It makes you feel very much as a magpie in the sense that you couldn't care less what the humans are up to, only what you could get from them, and as the developers themselves points out: that is kind of the idea. To put human actions in a perspective that paints them as short-sighted and meaningless in the bigger picture of things. It's like someone asked what Majora's Mask would feel like playing if you were simply a bird observing the events as they unfolded instead of Link who actively tries to change their fate. With the addition that as said bird you would be immune to any of the negative outcomes. It sounds intriguing, but the two parts, the story and the mechanics, suffers equally from it as well. And that said, I would have loved to see a spiritual sequel to this game with the same kind of flight mechanic and dynamic music, but instead of simple models trying to convey a complex story mirroring real world issues, the focus could be on a more complex and living environm…1 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/bwydNIDG4b0 Nearly impossible to control for any precision tasks even the basic loop of collecting trinkets is far too frustrating.
I think this was the first review of the game! I really liked this games music, I liked the bird, and I liked eavsdropping and learning about the world! I feel like it had a good story, and fun gameplay. Don't think there is anything to dislike about it.
Took me around 1 hour to finish the storyline. I'd say it's good at telling the story it wants to tell. Sometimes the music switching can be a bit jarring, and some of the music is a bit too upbeat for what is happening during later chapters. I say it's worth a try if the story sounds intriguing to you.
