Worst Sokpop game I've played so far. Premise is fine. Great even! The execution, however, is exactly that. A gruesome, public execution that seeks to cut that potential short in as quickly and efficiently a manner as possible. If you want to see a compelling idea die, here is the place to do so. The flying controls in the game are almost able to meet the bare minimum. Sure, it can get you from place to place, but it rarely works in the way you want it to. This is because the landing system is exceedingly overeager to put you on every tree, power cable, and pole it can, often directly ignoring you desire to land in the places you actually need to. Landing also disorients you a ton too, due to how it just snaps you into a position. This means that you'll often need to reorient yourself to find the thing you landed to pick up. Once you sort that out, you just need to fly back to the nest. Problem is, the game is pretty iffy about letting you land on the structure your nest is on, as the landing feature can randomly stop working there specifically. It is also worth noting that flying into any obstacle instantly kills you. This combination of problems often results in you…5 found this helpful
A short interesting experience, like most of the sokpop game, i wouldn't recommend on its own but would recommend the bundle if you like interesting short game.2 found this helpful
Great experience by Sokpop! This game is really unique, in that it actually tries to capture what it would feel like to be a bird. And I'd say it succeeds for the most part! The controls are tight and the graphics have a pretty neat style to them. It's pretty short and the map is small, but I'd say it's enough for the price of the game. The only complaint I would have is about attacking another bird: This also is one of the achievements, and it's VERY hard to get. Attacking a bird will make you lock on to it, but you will never be able to catch up to it if you just chase it. You have to very aggressively try to catch your target in a tight turn OR let your bird slide over the ground while locked on to your pray to gain a speed boost and then quickly rise up. Other than that, great game though!2 found this helpful
Rook's a pretty cute but also very simple and short game, the trailer basically shows everything there is to the game. In this game you're a bird building your nest. You have to fly around and collect twigs to add to your nest, find food to keep up the energy to fly around and avoid dangers on your quest, like hunters, snakes, etc. This really is all there is to the game, you can finish it in 10-20 minutes once you get the hang of it. On the plusside, you can get 100% Achievements fairly quick and easy in this game! Is it worth 2,99€ ? Eeeeh, not sure, maybe buy it on sale or if you're REALLY into bird games like me or want it for the achievements!1 found this helpful
this is a cute, short game where you have to build up your nest before you get tired. You have multiple obstacles to face such as hunters, snakes, and crows, but also, watch out for that tree! you can pick up seeds, crickets, and apples to restore some stamina as well, and because the game is very short, you don't have to worry about failing.
wonderful! a tiny and ponderous survival game with minimal mechanics. completed in 10 minutes and was satisfied. had to play more for review so i went after all achievements... but beware, the achievement to fight our rival bird is frustrating and i gave up. other than that, a fun lil' game.
