So cheap and so much fun! It is an easy relaxing game and cute as can be. Would be great for all ages. I'm 65!! lol

One of the cutest games I've played in a very long time. The gameplay is simple, but for $1.09 on sale, I find it very much worth it. You grow plants to weave into fabric or use as dye, stitch together clothes in your atelier, and serve customers according to their desires. You can dress them up however you want, but if you match their clothing to the color, fabric type, and style they specify, you get bonus money in the form of tips. There's really not much to this game, but somehow, I very much like it. The character customization is cute as well. You have multiple hair styles, colors, and eye styles to choose from. The only thing I have found baffling/displeasing is that clothing items are single use -- once you wear it, you have to make it again if you change your clothing. Not a great feature, but at least most items aren't too difficult to make. I found the music pleasant and unobtrusive. Get it on sale and have fun playing dress up!

I enjoyed this game but it won't click with a lot of people I think. It was super slow. NPCs don't move around and their dialogue is super limited. Their voice acting (? if you can call it that) was really jarring. Kind of sounded like babies/children were recorded. World feels dead besides yourself. I didn't hate my time but after getting the majority of the achievements I wished it would just end but my desire to 100% got me lol. The last few achievements are a grind that became not fun. I wish there were more clothes. The farming animations are too long imo. >hoe the dirt >plant seeds >water seeds. It just took forever. :( No housing customization. Pros: - cute art style - no real rush (npcs disappear at 6pm) - can change outfit and hairstyle/color whenever you want Cons: - slow animations - world feels empty - npcs feel lackluster - no housing customization - can't change eyes/color (please correct me if i'm wrong) after character creation - no story or relationships Overall, I didn't hate the initial time I spent and thought it was cute.

I bought Cottonville on sale fully expecting it to be a waste of money… but, I was pleasantly surprised. The game ended up being a really cute and relaxing experience. I had fun creating my character, waddling around the small map collecting resources, and taking in the colorful, playful art style. The whole game has a very lighthearted and cozy feel to it that made it easy to just sit back and enjoy. The gameplay loop was simple but satisfying: casual farming, gathering materials, creating clothes from the resources you farmed, and then selling them by dressing customers. It never tried to be overly complicated, and I think that worked in its favor. It took me less than 8 hours to fully complete, but considering I paid under $3 for it, I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth. Not every game needs to be hundreds of hours long to be enjoyable. I also didn’t run into any bugs or technical issues during my playthrough, which honestly made the experience even smoother and more enjoyable overall.

It is very slow paced (animations take a long time) and the controls are a little clunky (I often have to press 2 or 3 times for a button press to register). It's very cute and extremely casual. I like that I can make clothes & sell them in my little shop. I don't expect I will spend a huge amount of time playing this game, but it's good for short play sessions & cute screenshots. ♡
