STORY
For the first time in years, Sonny meets a person he knows inside of his lucid dreams: a boy from his school who Sonny has never spoken with in real life.
Over the next few days, not only other people known to him appear in his dreams, but Sonny also realises that the things he said and did were reflected in real life. Now, divided between the events and experiences of real life and those that happen inside his lucid dreams, Sonny oscillates between living an ordinary life and in using his dreams to discover, understand and help the people around him.
GAMEPLAY
This is a story focused Visual Novel game. The gameplay revolves around interacting with the game to advance the plot through the eyes of the protagonist Sonny, and making choices along the way. The choices you make will affect the relationship you have with the characters and will also affect how the story ends.

It’s been a while since a visual novel had me on the edge of my seat, such an immersive experience! Each character is so unique, from their design to their personality, and I ended up becoming so attached to each one of them that I can’t even say which one is my favorite, honestly. I loved the ‘lucid dream’ concept and how it is applied to every aspect of the game, including the visuals, music and story, especially how the dream parts differ aesthetically from the real world. The story is very well written and develops at a perfect pace, and I would be lying if I said it didn't move me to tears hahaha Also, I'm particularly happy to see that my choices actually impact how the story develops and ends. I'm inclined to play through the game more times just to see all the options! Dare to Lucid Dream is a game clearly made with lots of love and attention to detail. The game is absolutely amazing! The art is beautiful, with a wide variety of styles, and each one is more stunning than the last. I was genuinely blown away by how rich the visual experience is, both in quality and quantity. The storyline is engaging and flows so naturally that I found myself losing track of time while playing. Every part of this game shows an incredible level of attention and passion. You can tell it was made with genuine love and dedication. Highly recommended! :D2 found this helpful
The story short but sweet. The characters are very likable. The music really soothing and comforting. I am weak against horror, there's many times that I am scared to move forward but in the end "I dared to Lucid Dream". Wish there's romance though1 found this helpful
ive played this games demo when it was first available and i got drawn into it even then, the stroy of the game is fantastic, the visuals are amazings and the soundtrack is great, and i loved the touch of the ending credits song 10/10 would play again. highly recommanded to visual novel players
