Oneironaut (noun): A person who explores dream worlds, usually associated with lucid dreaming.
Oneironaut is a 2D platformer that immerses the player into a series of lucid dreams. Experience imagination firsthand as you navigate your way through beautiful, but deadly dreams that have obstacles along the way. Work your way back to reality as a mysterious person attempts to prevent your success.
Oneironaut features two full length worlds each with a different mystical theme to envelop you into a true gaming experience. Each world is packed with dozens of rooms for the player to make their way through puzzling challenges and potential pitfalls. Along the way, the player will encounter a variety of perplexing mazes, numerous timed challenges, and tough jumps. However, saves along the way will allow you to try, try, and try once more. As a 2D platformer, Oneironaut allows for 3 unique world saves. Oneironaut is extremely challenging and only the best may escape from the traps of lucid dreaming.
Featuring multiple dozens of game mechanics to keep you continuously intrigued throughout your play through of the game, Oneironaut also includes fully developed art, music, and sound effects. An indie game started from a Computer Science classroom, we hope you play our game.

In this game you play as Robbie Rotten going through a post apocalyptic industrial dreamscape(?). I wanted to like it, as a big fan of IWBTG and it's many clones. But really poor controls, and a very unpolished/unfinished game surrounding them, imma say give it a pass. Some levels are legit fair and difficult, but for the majority of the game you'll be scratching you're head wondering if why you died was your fault or the game's. Oneironaut (from latin meaning "dream traveller") is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of the entire body of video games. This one is a very generically themed "difficult" "precision" platformer along the lines of "Super Meat Boy" and "I Wanna Be The Guy", only nowhere near as good. While the controls can be customised, the visuals are clearly phoned in, or something. There's no real excuse for just how bad they are. Resolution is locked, at least, using the different resolution options from the Unity launcher makes no discernable difference to the poor quality visuals. A choice was made to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. The pixel "art" here is particularly lazy as not all of the visuals are pixel, the spikes, for example, are 2D sprites/vector images that do map to the locked resolution of the game. Рекомендую всем любителям атмосферных приключений и головоломок, которые не боятся немного "потеряться" в собственных мыслях.
