Dawn Apart

I keep wanting to like this game. I love automation style games and love Rimworld colony managers and this combines both pretty well but I have restarted my colony about five times now because of stupid things like I can't extinguish a fire. Like, why is it fire extinguishers can't be made until much later in the game. Now I have a raging fire next to my colony they can't put out! Why? Can I make a bucket and fill it with water? Nope. I have to enclose the fire in a building and seal it to kill the oxygen. Now I know that would work scientifically but so would water from that river right next to me! Or the sink in my bathroom that doesn't scientifically stay full of water! I'm frustrated with this game for, what seems to me to be, silly things that should be able to be done but can't. I would not recommend this as is.

Great concept, but needs some more time and love. Performance sucks and needs allot of work. Storage could use some reworking, its pretty frustraiting atm and not in a fun way. Half my colony is storage. Allow me to speed up the gameplay please. Releasing the raid update was weird, it just gives the game another oppertunity to crash atm (and there is plenty) Looking forward to the future of this game but im gonna let it cook a year or 2 more.

Buggy mess but still sooooo good!

I have a lot of mixed feelings on this game. I'll try to break it down based on the day I've spent on this. At the time of writing it says I have almost 12 hours. Most of that isn't actual play, that's just me reading a book while this extremely slow gameplay is happening. - Is it buggy? I mean, I haven't seen any bugs. There's annoying features and features that I'd like to have that aren't here, but those aren't bugs. In 12 hours it crashed only 1 time and that's because I finally loaded a cheat engine to speed up the game and one of the options I tried crashed the game. - Is it fun? I want it to be. I want it to be better than other games, but the annoying little attacks that kept killing my workers had me restart the game and turn off enemies. - How slow is it? I guess it depends on how you play. Without cheat engines speeding up the game, it took me almost 6 hours to just complete the first objective. That's 6 hours of my real life. Now, I spent most of that time either cooking or reading while waiting for stockpiles to build up, but yeah. Still 4 hours. - Is it intuitive if you've played other factory games? Yes and no. Crashes too often to be playable. Poor UI.
