Death Dojo

"Death Dojo" is a badly made VR tech demo (with possibly flipped assets). What do you do in the game? Wave your arms around to hack up samurai monster assets or something. Seriously, just wave your arms around, that's it, that's the whole "game". Steam Direct was a mistake. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency.  There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design..…

Игра «Death Dojo» — это неожиданно атмосферный экшен с элементами симулятора. Уникальная концепция: игрок управляет монахом, готовящимся к смертельной битве в дзюдо-дворце. Геймплей сочетает реалистичные боевые механики и юмористические моменты. Графика — стильная, с яркими цветами и динамичными анимациями. Звуковая сопровождение добавляет напряжения. Однако сюжет слегка поверхностен, а повторяющиеся уровни могут наскучить. Для фанатов экшена и ироничного подхода к жанру — достойный выбор.

Cant knock it for a free game but its quite basic - although still enjoyable! Parry & Strike against increasingly harder opponents and see if you can kill the samurai! For a demo/free game I'd say 8/10
