In all my years in this vital industry, that's the first time that's ever happened. I have never seen a worse case of UX. It is not just bad, it feels intentionally designed to spoil the game. - The default buttons are setup for 4 people to share a single keyboard. - You have 1 keyboard and 1 XInput gamepad? Want to play local coop (irl or remote play together) with a friend (the most common scenario, btw)? Nope, you can't. Player 1 is Keyboard AND XInput_0. - Want to reassign the controllers? Sure, but not the START keys. They are hardcoded at 1, 2, 3, 4 (not numpad). And any players on keyboard that want to join must specifically press those keys. This is not disclosed anywhere, btw. - Just in case, you had second controller to fill the 1st player slot? So your remote-play-together friend can join on keyboard and you stay on the gamepad? Nope. Can't change the order of the controllers. You're forced to play on your worst gamepad. - Want to reassign buttons all at once? Nope. Gotta click 1 by 1 with the mouse and not only once. Click the command >> Click "Reassign" >> Wait for 2 stupid loading rings >> Press the button on the specific gamepad. You have to do that for every button…

Sunset Riders, but the Western has been replaced with gritty 1970s action. This is a fun game that's as entertaining for its references and low-brow humor as it is for its gameplay. It's a rather short game that needs to be played with more than one person to be fully appreciated. Unless you have up to three friends (and not more), I'd recommend getting this on sale.

A janky Sunset Riders homage. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bike levels are terribly designed: you can be too close to an enemy and your bullets will go right through them and jumping on a bike has this atrocious delay and you're required to jump to hit some of the enemies. My patience with this game has finally ran out on the 6th level boss. Being required to bait a boss into whiffing a melee combo only to counter with your own close-range attack is not something that I want from a run'n gun. This might be an OK game to play in co-op, because a coordinated team should make the bike levels trivial. But playing solo? ♥♥♥♥ this.

Fabulous game! Give it some time, like an hour or so, it will grow on you.
