About Deckweaver: Descent Into Chaos
In the fantasy realm of Alveria, step into the shoes of The Wanderer, a daring adventurer who draws their power from a deck of enchanted cards. However, dark and malevolent forces in the form of Lovecraftian monstrosities have descended upon the realm, spreading corruption and chaos throughout the land.
As The Wanderer, you must brave the hostile terrain of Alveria, venturing into the very heart of this malice to purify the shrines that lie within. Your ultimate goal is to summon a portal to The Great Abyss, the shadowy realm from which these terrifying creatures emerge, and confront the Elder Being at its heart.
Only by destroying this malevolent force can you hope to save Alveria from certain doom. So gather your strength, sharpen your wits, and prepare to face the ultimate challenge in this epic adventure of heroism and magic!

It's a cool idea, but intentionally or not the game is simply incomplete (or severely bugged) The store page lists "battle through different maps and environments", "collect artifacts" and "an epic boss battle" as features, but I saw absolutely none of these. I completed the three shrines on the first level, assuming that would trigger a level transition since they're the only marked objectives on the map, but nothing happened. I tried running around for a bit picking up extra cards, but I still couldn't figure out what more the game wanted from me. Other issues I ran into include: [list] [*]The "Deckronomicon" in the main menu (which I assume is supposed to show cards you've picked up on your runs) is greyed out and unselectable. [*]There is no key rebind options [*]The assets in the start screen background (red gems and the ground) are very obviously floating in the air and clipping into each other. [*]The enemy variety is very small, there's 3 enemies, and they keep spawning and swarming you which becomes especially annoying when trying to pick up cards and read the descriptions, because the game doesn't pause itself to let you pick a card in peace. another one of those games I found free on steam, its ok. Very bland and the cover art makes it seem like its much better than it really is.1 found this helpful
There is a game here, but it's very rough at the moment. Enemies don't really react to getting hit, hits don't feel powerful or distinct, the combat feels incredibly random, since you are just spamming abilities.
Could do with more polish, but free game so not bad
Song goes hard af, solid idea for a game, simple but enjoyable. Would be cool if more is added to it
