Well, I was going to say this was a decent if cheesy game...then I died and discovered the hidden, completely broken P2W cash shop you need to buy more lives in that others have mentioned. Hello to starting a new save and just replaying past missions on higher difficulty to rack up a few hours of play time instead. If you're still curious about DHL it's an arcade on-rails timed animal shooter that badly shows its age in the visual and audio departments, nothing more. Usually every 15 to 20 levels you'll face a boss animal, beating that will unlock a new area for you to rinse and repeat in, just with one or two new "legendary" animals. Provided you get killed in the T-Rex boss fight (yes, really) in the second area like I did, you can expect about an hour twenty of gameplay for your cash.

Deer Hunt Legends is a Duck-Hunt like static shooter where you control crosshairs and slaughter a variety of endangered animals because killing animals is supposed to be fun. It's from 2013, but that doesn't excuse a lot of the technical defects of the product (that's assuming you're still interested after the woeful premise of the game). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low polygon assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s... maybe this is just a hangover from the 9 year old nature of the game, but this looks a lot older than it should. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irreleva…

While I went into this with the mindset to see if it was as bad as people make it seem, I really didn't think I'd end up getting so disappointed. I knew beforehand that this game is by no means a hunting game, it's an arcade-y 'stand in one place, turn around and shoot stuff that runs past you' kinda game. And not the good kind, mind you. I can usually enjoy these types of games as a time waster or to blow off some steam...but this game is basically just frustrating because it doesn't even tell you the controls and tasks given to you are also not explained which then result in failure unless you figure it out youself at some point. This wouldn't be a porblem if you didn't have to start the whole damn level over from the start...trial and error is a garbage mechanic imo anyway, so yeah. Others might not be bothered as much but I'm honestly just annoyed at this point. This all makes this whole game just a garbage experience. Which is why I gave up bothering with it so incredibly quickly. Since I only wasted 0,89 Euro on it, my wallet doesn't demand a human sacrifice in exchange for this insult. But I would suggest to not buy this at full price. It's usually on sale quite often so g…

Some may call me crazy for actually recommending this game, but... It's not QUITE as bad as others are saying. Is it a masterpiece? No, not at all: However, it has fairly addictive gameplay which will keep you engaged and attentive to your surroundings once you get in the groove. Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know about the game, to help you decide: Graphics: The visuals in this game aren't great. A part of this stems from it being a port of the Wii game "Deer Drive Legends" (made by the same studio, of course - a 3DS version also exists). The different title was due to licensing issues on their end, not being able to secure it for the PC version due to numerous similarly-titled games already existing. If you're adventurous, you can make the game look MUCH more presentable if you use Reshade to adjust the overall contrast, saturation and brightness. That alone does wonders for the game's visuals. The GUI is pretty basic, if not uninspired and clunky in some spots. The smaller details just aren't there, like some text not being perfectly centered on the buttons. The environments are pretty nice to look at and the animations on the animals are nicely-done. Afr…
