About Departed Away
"How hard can it be to make friends?" That's what I thought when I first stepped into my new school. Little did I know, my first day would become a nightmare. I screwed up, and suddenly everyone started pointing fingers at me, blaming me for something I didn't do. I'm innocent but I can't get anybody to believe me! It's like I stumbled into a place filled with secrets and lunatics. I despise this place, and other schools aren't much different. It seems all I can do at this point is just try and survive...
Hmm... It's kind of hard to explain all the details, but basically I ended up having to go to a new school. It wasn't by choice, my parents practically forced me into it. With a workaholic mother and a creepy father—my family is far from ordinary. But let's not get sidetracked. In this school, all I wanted was to make a few friends, but... Well, you know how that turned out. Did you manage to contact my lawyer yet? I have a feeling I'm going to need one.
Oh, Beatrice, what an absolute stunner! It's like I've never laid eyes on such breathtaking beauty before. And then there's Hitomi, the quiet, nerdy girl. She might be a nerd but she has her own charm. Now, Marcel, she's a total puzzle. One look is enough to ignite a fire within your heart. Her talent, too, is something else, although it pales in comparison to Veronica's. She's on a whole another level. An artist able to master anything through sheer dedication and hard work... But, my goodness, there's something about each of them that's utterly bewildering... They're all insane! What Steam players say

First VN made by a teen whos only ever read DDLC and no other VNs. Everything - the character types, the weird glitching, the main girl secretly obsessed with the MC. Poems, etc. Neat at times, but clearly a first attempt. The small mechanic sections were also creative. The dialogue is pretty stale and the story hook did not get me at all. Cute art for characters, but they're just literal archetypes, which is expected considering the total quality. As far as a "first VN" goes, it's pretty nice. But I still wouldn't recommend playing it, I got bored suuuper quickly.

The game felt very predictable and clichéd. I didn't realize that the blue-haired girl and the protagonist were the same person, but when the game revealed it, I wasn't really surprised. The twist just didn't have any impact on me.Another thing that bothered me was that one of the teachers refers to the protagonist as "he." If the game is going to address the player like that, why not let us choose our gender at the beginning? Maybe I'm a woman. I also didn't like the character designs. There are only a couple of male characters, and they look completely normal, but woman characters have very exaggerated body proportions. I honestly don't understand why they were designed that way. It felt unnecessary and distracting (specificly mother and the female teacher) The story never really excited me. Even though I got the good ending, I wasn't playing because I was curious about what would happen next. I mostly kept playing just to finish the game. The protagonist also felt very generic. He's just an introverted guy who likes video games, manga, anime, and comics. Then he transfers to a new school, the most popular girl suddenly seems interested in him, there's the mysterious blue-haired g…
good game
Love this game. The artwork is great and the music is also very fitting. The story was interesting. It has many different outcomes.
Normally i don't leave reviews for games, but i really enjoyed this. My only complaint is it isn't longer! Its got good story and imo it builds tension well. Especially considering this is this developers first game i think they did an amazing job, and I'm looking forward to more from them.
