About Destiny of the World
Destiny of the World is a deep WWII grand strategy simulation built for serious players but presented clearly enough for anyone ready to think like a theater commander.Unlike many grand strategy games where logistics are abstracted, Destiny of the World makes sustainment a central battlefield. Front-line success depends on production throughput, convoy protection, depot flow, and maintaining unit readiness across multiple theaters.Every turn represents one week. You and the AI plot orders simultaneously. These orders are then resolved simultaneously. Plans collide, offensives get disrupted, and surprise contact creates real operational friction.Command one of eight major powers or the complete Allies or Axis Command. Run the entire war effort: military operations, production, research, trade, diplomacy, and espionage. Follow history, bend it, or break it.Logistics are critical: supply and fuel move through capital/depot networks, convoy capacity is finite, sea lanes can be interdicted, and readiness and sustainment matter as much as firepower.

Very strategic once I realized that 1) the initial non military unit production queue for each country is near optimal from the start 2) don't monopolize any resource or your allies will not be able to build units; 3) give you allies material surpluses when possible.
Cool little indie game. Works on Windows and Linux. Made by one person.
just dont understanding game controls. cant get ♥♥♥♥ to move or attack. cant get ♥♥♥♥ to load on transports to go attack a damn thing. i have listen to the tutorial several times.... and yet cant get ♥♥♥♥ done... so ♥♥♥♥ this game... i was really looking forward to this seems how it adds to the game dealing with supplies and such....
Bought this game whilst looking for something to do. I'm quite impressed. Played the tutorial, jumped right in to the full War as the axis. You can set automated controls for the production and supply and these are the default settings. This allows you to concentrate on the fighting. The graphics are standard and the view can be zoomed in or out for a fairly uncomplicated world at war map. Cutting enemy troops off from their supply is a major tragedy for them (Dont let it happen to you). Having played for a day or two I read the manual and was impressed again by how you can actually remove the automation and beginning to get right into the detail of production and supply, convoys and escort duties. You can make this as difficult or as simple as you feel like playing. Thoroughly recommend and I'm about to start the full campaign but control everything from the start.
This is the old "Storm of Steel" game that was fast and fun...Way old!
