Fantastic World War II grand strategy game! If you enjoy commanding entire nations and making the big strategic decisions without getting overwhelmed by unnecessary micromanagement, Strategic Command: World at War is an outstanding choice. I have logged over **4,000 hours** playing this game, and it remains one of my favorite WWII strategy titles. I also created the **TRP World (Total Realism Project)** mod for the game. It pushes the editor to its limits by using the largest world map possible, incorporating the entire European theater from Strategic Command: War in Europe while expanding it to include Africa, South America, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific. The result is a truly global World War II experience where every major theater matters. TRP World transforms the game into a much deeper strategic simulation where long-term planning, logistics, and global coordination become essential. A full campaign can take days to complete—or even weeks when playing **PBEM**, which is where I believe the mod truly shines. It is a fine implementation of a strategy game. The mechanics are interesting and deep but not overwhelming. The game is about a bug free as a game can be. Some of the interface features are clunky, but it's effective. The biggest issue for me is the AI. It's scripted, and after you learn the script, playing against it becomes fairly trivial.
Good game
The game not allowing the stacking/mixing of units is just the worst. One should have the ability to make stacked/mixed units that has armor/infantry/anti-tank/flack in the same hex. I understand that a hex because of logistical issues can only have x amount of units on it.
Decent strategy game.
