At this point, me complaining about mediocre Exit 8 clones is as much of a cliché as the bombardment of clones itself; and while Distorted Hallways is exactly what I thought it would be, it's missing one key thing: fun. As bad or weird as the other games might've been, I certainly wasn't bored while playing; but getting enough review material for this game felt like homework. Distorted Hallways is just doing the most basic definition for everything here; in terms of its location, scares, and the production values in general. So.. oh no your math test is late but the school is turning all spooky aaaaaa gotta go. After his love of the Brady Bunch caused the unexpected and very tragic death of J. C. And while he thought it was really cool and “bussin” for a while, Logan soon found he had an extremely hard time keeping up with his schoolwork; and whenever he gets too stressed, …4 found this helpful
I wanted to like this game as I generally love the interactive anomaly games, but this was just too short and clunky. Even for just $3 I don't think it's worth the price tag as it can be completed in just 10 minutes. My least favorite thing was the way the anomalies were handled. In most games you either turn back and the level resets back in the expected direction or you mark the anomaly. In this one, when you turn back after finding an anomaly, it wasn't clear whether you then had to do the levels backwards or just turn back around and continue. I chose the latter and ended up skipping two levels at once three times in a row. The lack of basic settings was a bit frustrating too. Even something as simple as a mouse sensitivity slider would have been appreciated.2 found this helpful

Very much like The Exit 8, I will say it wasn't always clear which direction I should be going if things seemed right once I turned around once, because unlike Exit 8 the map doesn't keep being the exact same direction no matter which side you enter from. Not bad though!1 found this helpful
The game at its core is great, I found it really tricky to notice some of the anomalies, to the point where I was mad at myself when I finally noticed. The creepy hallway noise and the dead bodies made me pee my pants a little. I think I cheated the system by going in and out of the doors until reaching level 8, but also beat it fairly. This game gets my "It's alright" approval
It was good experience playing this game.
