Welcome to the Slums of New Mumbai!
Divided Skies is a single player flight adventure game where you play as Kyra, a member of the Nandaka gang, as she completes dangerous missions transporting illegal tech and mechanical enhancements while fighting off rival gangs. Shoot enemies, chase down foes, and explore hidden areas as you uncover the secrets of the metropolis called New Mumbai taking place in the year 2100

"Divided Skies" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. The student games that look the most promising are often the most disappointing, unfortunately. This looks really amazing... it's The Fifth Element taxi scene where you get to fly through a really nice looking 3D environment with all the flying cars. Except all the cars are Tuk-tuks. achievements are broken
Decent idea. Does not leave much impact.
After running the game exe so the steam overlay doesn’t get used to get better fps, using outside programs to adjust the FOV, use invert mouse and changing the keybindings the game ran smooth for me on a RTX 4090 ultrawidesreen. I posted some tips in the discussions on how to make the game better. Overall I enjoyed the game but wished it was 2x longer. If you look around good enough you escape to the outside and its neat to see it there too.
so reading the description of the game you can read it was made by students in breda, now reading that. it makes sense it's poorly optimized and got some bugs despite the bugs and clunky controls i had some fun as a word of encouragement for the students who developed this game keep up the good work and eventually you'll develop something great
The graphics are simple, but the gameplay gets boring quickly. There aren't many mechanics, and it feels like you're just flying without a purpose.
