Its decent, a mix of control, returnal and dead space, is fun enough to be worth 2 bucks, on sale in a good way to spend some time fighting aliens, not much more to add.1 found this helpful
I don't know if the Developers will ever read this but it's important. Guys, sometimes you just want to play a game to get out of your head and lose yourself. I realize that it's unpopular but as an older adult that works long hours, I don't want to come home and play a difficult game and if the game is so difficult that you can't gain any headway in the easiest setting, it's not me, it's you. I've played shooters since they first came out, so you can't blame me. So after I was killed at the same spot from a previously invisible enemy for the third time, I just stopped playing. That's not fun for me and it's not fun for anyone else. DO BETTER!
ok
Ok, but only on a decent discount.
Amazing game. Beautiful art style, great atmosphere, interesting and non-conventional combat system, surprisingly solid sci-fi story. Literally the only negative in the game is the clunky animations and lack of facial expressions. And to be honest, from such a small studio and limited resources, it is still more acceptable then the bugfests and devastating mediocreness that AAA open world games have. If you love sci-fi and are mature enough to be able to see through mere graphics, this game will serve you well.
Scars Above is a science-fiction third-person action-adventure shooter developed by Mad Head Games and published by Prime Matter. It presents an intriguing alien mystery and occasionally looks like it could have been adapted from a science-fiction film, but its striking environments cannot compensate for shallow combat, limited enemy variety, and some remarkably lifeless character presentation. The gameplay resembles a barebones soulslike, complete with stamina management, dodge-based combat, checkpoints, and enemies that respawn after resting. There is a small amount of melee combat, but this is primarily a third-person shooter built around exploiting enemies with different elemental weapons. The closest comparison I have played would be Remnant, though Remnant handles nearly every comparable element significantly better. Combat is not necessarily broken, but it rarely becomes exciting. Switching between elements and targeting enemy weaknesses keeps the loop slightly fresh, though the game does not provide a large enough selection of enemies to support it. Instead, the same handful of creatures repeatedly return with different variations. An enemy that originally had no protecti…
