Don't Forget Our Esports Dream is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This is a lame fanfiction about an e-sports team, because, well, if you're not good enough at competitive gaming, what else can you do but write a garbage e-book about it then dump it on Steam Direct for $100? Thanks to Py'Game/Ren'Py there's a couple of clicking "puzzles", but they're a tiny part of the overall nightmare of another fanfiction E-book polluting Steam, and taking up breathing room that should be given to genuine, real video games and not Kindle bookstore rejects. What a niche, peculiar game. Let's start by saying that this is one of those super specific genre crossover games I've ever played. If you are a fan of professional Stacraft (including Brood War) and visual novels, this is the perfect game for you. You are Bolt, a south korean boy playing in a cheap Starcraft team who are training everyday in a small house with other people, training day and night for a breakout. You get to meet other Starcraft legends and play against them while some of your teammates might have other plans for their future. Eventually you play in some of the major leagues. The game is a love letter to Starcraft and the exotique life some of their stars live. Fortunately for everyone, the game includes a glossary for every Starcraft term or strategy to quickly understand what the characters are talking about. Most people know about the Protoss, Terran, Zerg, we need more pylons, etc, but when competitive pro meta strategies being discussed in rapid succession, the glossary is your way to keep up. Несмотря на это, 'Don't Forget Our Esports Dream' - это отличный выбор для тех, кто любит визуальные новеллы и интересуется киберспортом.
