STORY
Inspired by the "hero" shooters of the late 90s such as Duke Nukem, Blake Stone, and Wolfenstein 3D, DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space is a retro FPS game where players take on the role of the titular, DOSMan.
Aliens have invaded Planet DOS, and are wreaking havoc upon the population. It’s up to DOSMan and a colorful cast of hilariously incompetent characters to beat them back and restore order to the once-peaceful planet.

I bought this in a bundle with Zortch since this was pretty cheap and has good reviews. I beat this game, but the lack of enemy variety, dissatisfying combat, cheerful soft-core MIDI soundtrack, and uninspired level design left me with a bland experience. It's a first-person shooter, but most sections of the game don't give you a lot of ammo, so you spend a lot of fights trying to stab enemies with your knife that has such a limited range that you basically will be tightly kiting them until they die. There are a few minor comedy elements, like how every secret room has a Doom marine that says "Ya found me!" in a funny inflection, but after the fifth time or so, this gets old. Sadly, I won't be returning to this one.
Great game for getting kids prepped for Wolfenstein 3D age.

Man, I tried. The previous DOSman releases were at the very least, decent. This one is particularly heavy with enemy spam and, to be honest, I've tried and failed multiple times to finish the game, not because of difficulty but because of tedium. Reverend had a fun knockoff Cultic vibe, and it was my favorite of the DOSman games that I've played so far. I'm gonna uninstall this game and never return to it, but I will continue to work my way through the DOSman games that have been released/published. Next up is Satan, and it looks pretty dang good, to be honest.
"DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space!" is another fun, bite-sized boomer shooter from this publisher. In "DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space!" you shoot aliens that have invaded the planet, and they stole one singular chick. She has big boobs, you save her at the end (thank god). "DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space!" gives you a standard array of weapons, and each weapon is represented with lovely sprites. Even the enemies have received the lovely sprite treatment. My biggest complaint about "DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space!" is the enemy-ammo ratio; you will not have enough ammo for every enemy (unless you put the knife to good use). Also, while the shotgun looks and sounds awesome, its efficacy is poor. ROF is king, and its slow fire along with weak damage makes it a last-resort weapon. "DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space!" is fun, has a lovely artstyle, and some very light but endearing voice acting. If you like these things, you should definitely buy "DOSMan: Space Aliens in Space!".
One of the shorter games of DOSMan but also kinda fun. The artstyle fits perfectly with the ost (I was vibin while playing) Yea I readed often that there are plenty of doom mods which are better and for free.. But let me tell you something, guys: considering this is a single-developer indie game, I think DOSMan brings a unique vibe to his games. It is something that really hooks me personally and makes me want to support him in his other projects. YOU FOUND ME!
