Dream:scape Remastered

The game begins the usual way. You wake up standing in the middle of an empty road with nothing but a pair of binoculars in your hands. To the side, an old, beat-up truck waits as if expecting you. There’s no introduction of how you got here or what you’re meant to do. The silence is heavy, broken only when you climb into the truck and start driving. Not far down the road, you come across the wreckage of a car. As you slow down to look, a voice begins narrating the accident, offering fragments of a story but no full answers. You keep driving until you reach a lonely farm. Here, a scarecrow comes alive and finally provides clarity. It reveals your name, Wilson, and paints the whole picture: the crash you saw earlier was your own. You are hovering between life and death, and this strange world is your last chance to revisit memories before passing on. The scarecrow gives you a journal with a map marked with important locations. From now on, you can explore in any direction you choose. Travel feels relatively free. Enjoyed this little title. Great production value for such a small steam. Excellent sound and voice overs. It's worth your time. The big reveal was my only complaint in that it could have been better and actually broke some of the logic in the story. It's still very much worth a play through.

I can't believe this is real. I first played this game at the age of 12 or 13 on my iPod Touch! Ever since then it has been a nostalgic memory that I barely could tell was real. Over the last 13 years I have desperately tried to find a way to play this game again as it was one of my fondest memories from early mobile gaming (even tho I definitely didn't fully understand the story back then). I even emailed the devs two seperate times in the last 13 years asking for the game to be re-released on modern hardware since you can no longer play it. I had all but given up. Then today I randomly asked ChatGPT about the games story as I wanted to remember what it was about and I couldn't believe it - it told me it had been remastered! I ran straight to the steam store and bought it without hesitation. I was beyond excited. I have only played about 2 hours so far but this is more than a remaster, its an entirely new experience. Maybe my memory is just bad but there is so much new content and the map is way larger with more to do and see. To get it out of the way, yes the game is quite buggy and even on my $3000 PC it averages 20 or so FPS on high, but honestly I don't care. I get to experi…

The game is still amazing YEARS later. Thank you very much for making this and looking forward to the next one. Coming from your IOS roots is kinda interesting. the menu might be little hard to navigate, the settings are in the diary. :)

broken at the end. I enjoyed it up till the ending level. I spent a lot of time just listening to the radio and it's stories and songs. At the end level when i needed a key to open a vault It reset the level when opening my journal. the second time around i was able to get the key only for it to switch keys to controller prompts, figured out which keys i needed to turn the key but when i did the vault didn't open and game didn't progress. it then reset the entire game back to the beginning some how..i must have missed the cut scene to show the end of the game. If i had actually been able to complete the game I'd have recommended it for 3.99 that i paid.

Back then I was a 5th grade kid who was bad at English. I got to play the original Dream:scape on my cousin's iPad 1, then I loved loved loved it. 14 years later, when I was at work and suddenly had a flashback about this old game, I googled it and was so glad to see it has been remastered with all the old scenes kept and new scenes added. Anyway, the mystery-solving was easy since I still remembered all the details, I did find a bug that influenced my gameplay and I might need to reset the game later. When i tried to drive the red car on the driveway, it flipped and I was stuck underground and couldn't get out. Other than this little bug, I still want to say that I love this game and the studio who brought this game back to public and allow more people to experience it. It's more than just nostalgia I say.
