Drift 4000

"Drift 4000" is a rather poorly made ripoff of Asteroids (copyright Atari 1980), although it's worth noting Atari haven't yet taken any legal action or sent a DMCA takedown to date. Regardless, ripping of other people's games isn't really okay, and this delivers very little that the old Atari 2600/arcade game doesn't. Sure, there's some bells and whistles, but the most important aspects, controls and visuals aren't much better at all, leading us to question what the point of all this is. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Визуальная составляющая хоть и не претендует на фотореализм, но стильная и атмосферная, отлично передает дух уличных гонок. Управление здесь — отдельная песня: оно отзывчивое, но требует привыкания, что делает каждую успешную связку дрифта особенно приятной. Чувствуется, что разработчики вложили душу в физику, и это определенно пошло игре на пользу. Разнообразие трасс и машин позволяет экспериментировать и находить свой уникальный стиль. Конечно, есть моменты, где хочется более глубокой кастомизации или более продуманного мультиплеера, но в целом Drift 4000 — это отличный представитель жанра, который подарит массу часов удовольствия всем любителям скользкой езды.

So many different things to try. Right now trying a build where a save money on tons of things. I get Radiant conductor instead of heatsinks. I use a flamer and a terminator engine using turbo fuel. Sticky flame upgrade for flamers so I can save fuel taking out enemies. The most important part was using the Mining Assembly passive for more damage on asteroids and stuff. Later on I got Hull Reinforcement so that I could get +2 hp when I grab from asteroid power ups. I switched to cheap ships that could allow me to get more flamers and more active slots so I could invest in new equipment without wasting it on new ships. There are so many other ways to play this game though. But they are all so difficult in different ways. LIke this run I am doing rn is still giving me problems with money because of the investments into flamers, The fuel costs are making it hard in the late game
