About Druidwalker

In Druidwalker, the winter is just around the corner. The forest goes to sleep. You are a druid, preparing the forest for hibernation. Where will the paths of fallen leaves lead you?

Druidwalker is an experimental game: click on the cards and see how far can you go. You won't get hints at the start of the game. You have to interact with it and figure things out as you go.

Features:
  • Traverse the forest, encounter the animals; move at your own pace, there is no rush
  • A combination of hand-drawn images with traditional instrumental music
  • Peaceful roguelike: you can not lose here; there are no deaths, only breaks at the bonfire
  • A short, relaxing experience without pressure

So I only bought this because it was cheap and looked like an easy perfect. Its not terribly complex or long, but I was surprised to find I actually enjoyed the lil game.

Druidwalker is a visually appealing little game that can easily be completed in under an hour. It doesn’t give you instructions, so you basically go in blind and start flipping through the pretty cards until you slowly catch on to what the goal actually is. Simple, relaxing, and nice to look at.

This game gives you no real explanation on what you're doing. However, It only takes a little bit to figure out how to actually play it. The artwork is beautiful and it carries the whole experience. I wasn't the biggest fan of how it turned into a memory game towards the end. Overall, I enjoyed it for what it is and it's visual story telling. 7/10

It was a fun little game. I liked having to figure out everything on my own as I went. Loved the art. The gameplay did feel a bit lacking but I did kinda run through it and it was cheap so I'm glad I tried such a unique idea

This game is super simple and yet strangely endearing. It will only take around an hour to see everything it has to offer, but it is a relaxing, calming experience. The gameplay is nothing more than clicking on cards to choose a path through the forest. Each card either spends or gives you green/purple leaves (I am guessing they're leaves). If you run out of one of these, it is game over. The game is somewhat rogue-like in that after each run you are able to sacrifice some of your earned leaves to upgrade your stats and make subsequent plays easier to get further. I got it for somewhere around £1 and for that I couldn't be happier. If I'd paid the full £2.99 I don't think I'd have been as happy, but then again if you are someone who buys new games for £70, then £3 for a hour-long game probably doesn't seem too unreasonable. Overall, a great little title that worked brilliantly on my handheld.
