Just got a 100% completion on the game with all achievements. Its a great game. I had bought it cuz i had an itch for a roguelike and I loved the presentation. Marvin Wizard nailed the aesthetics on this one, be it from the textures or the actual old school menus or Drums-N-Bass ost(can find all of it on spotify btw). Putting aside the art direction, the game play is also very fun. It is very low cortisol but still intense enough that it does not feel boring. The variety of items, upgrades and characters is just enough to make it highly replayable. I have not tried remote play split screen yet but I believe it would be mad fun as well. My favorite character as of writing is sidewinder as he feels the most unique, the micromanagement of the lil helper machines and his slow power creep make it a very fun and engaging run, besides him ill say mirage is my favorite. The game is more of a roguelite than a roguelike as the game did get a lot easier with the passive upgrades but still it was and is a fun game. It is a well priced game that in my opinion delivers well and you get more than what you pay for. It has a demo, give it a shot im sure you will come back for the full purchase. …

first i wanna say this game is like 5 bucks its really good i love the shells the style is amazing and the concept with the gems is great i just got all 66 achievements and cant wait to see more from this developer i also got the cd rom he's selling

Extremely fun. Can't recommend Vital Shell enough. Perfect time waster blast from the past. Feels cozy.
