Players describe Dungless as a poorly executed asset-flip platformer derivative that heavily copies Spelunky and other games, with subpar graphics, music, and art design that feel unfinished and rushed. Common complaints include broken controller support, unfair difficulty, stolen assets, and the sense that the developer abandoned the project before completion, though one player noted it's at least playable without major bugs. The game is widely considered not worth purchasing, especially given the developer's reputation for mass-producing low-effort content.
Dungless is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from serial copy+paste infringers, Imperium Game. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects from the Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio store and try to scam people into paying for someone else's work on Steam. This time they've ripped off a basic template for a 2D retro pixel platformer/brawler. In line with this asset flipping behaviour, the game was dumped immediately at launch into DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles. In line with dishonest asset flippers, this has a number of fake positive reviews from compromised accounts, all in the same broken English. Basically a Spelunky copycat by a well known dev who likes to mass produce asset flips. Not worth your time or money. Kinda bad Spelunky alternative.
Barely playable. Controller doesn't work and gameplay is absolute trash. Assets stolen from Caveblazers. Stay away.
A fine little game, sadly not really finished. It seems like it had a good base but the dev lost interest and didnt develop it to the end. Its not buggy as far as I can see, but sadly its missing quite a bit to feel finished. Im on a quest of at least trying every game in my library, of which I got plenty from all kinds of bundles, not all though. If you are interested in my journey, check out my other reviews :)
