Clash of Clans but singleplayer. It's good, a bit hard, and it only has 1 level, since it's a prologue.

"Dwarven Defense Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Rune Defender: Dwarven Defense". Rune Defender: Dwarven Defense is n't even a product you can buy, the developer hasn't actually made it yet... it was supposed to be a really lame low poly top down tower defense game (yawn), but given the completely lacklustre reception for this advertisement, the developer has no real incentive to go ahead and make the full game... the audience has spoken, and the 12 million gamers on Steam said a collective nothing. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Rune Defender: Dwarven Defense, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Dwarven Defense Prologue" too. This is only free in the same way that adve…

Another Tower Defense game where the player has a little more freedom to engage the hordes of enemies that attack. While the player can manufacture "lanes" they can also choose to just wall off their base instead. However there are flying enemies that just go over walls and directly attack towers/base. One thing I noticed when playing was that the "Hero Tower" needs to be placed at the very back of your setup in order to keep them from rushing out and engaging enemies outside tower range. I think it would be a good QoL feature to allow the player to set an engagement radius around the tower so the hero doesn't fight too far away. Maybe it's just the prologue, but the number of total structures that can be placed being limited to 10 certainly encourages the player to use upgrades as a means of improving offense/defense as opposed to trying to use tower volume as a better defense. When it comes to the three "abilities" the player can use during defense, I think it would be helpful if there was a cooldown timer or some other progressing visual cue to let the player know how long before the ability is ready to be used. More specifically for "Shock" I think it would be good to al…
