Warning: Asset Flip! DYING UNDER NIGHTFALL is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. As usual, when developers are unable to create their own game assets and so on, they're usually unable to do the rest of the job of game development, and this is no exception. In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of stock assets such as the player sprite, which you will recognise from many asset flips, the Warrior Free…

DYING UNDER NIGHTFALL is a challenging indie platformer developed and published by BTC-BIXELTECHCODE that embraces the classic philosophy of skill-based gameplay above all else. Built around fast-paced movement, deadly traps, and precision platforming, the game places players in a series of dangerous stages where survival depends entirely on timing, reflexes, and persistence. Rather than relying on a complex story or extensive character development, it focuses on delivering a straightforward but demanding experience that constantly tests the player's ability to adapt and improve. From the moment gameplay begins, the title establishes itself as a difficult adventure designed for those who enjoy overcoming harsh obstacles. Every level is filled with hazards capable of ending a run in an instant, creating a constant sense of tension. Success rarely comes on the first attempt, and players are expected to learn from mistakes, memorize layouts, and gradually master each challenge. This approach creates a rewarding gameplay loop where progress feels earned through determination rather than handed out through generous assistance systems. One of the game's most appealing features is its e…

As a long-time fan of platformer games, I can confidently say that Dying under Nightfall is a true gem. From the moment I started playing, I was hooked by its vibrant graphics and smooth, responsive controls. The level design is outstanding, offering a perfect blend of challenging and clever placed obstacles and that keep you engaged from start to finish. Each stage introduces new mechanics and enemies, ensuring the gameplay never feels repetitive. The difficulty is very hard but the curve of the difficulty is well-balanced, providing a fair challenge without ever feeling frustrating, at least most of the time. One of the standout features of this game is its charming art style. The mystical environments and character animations bring a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of classic platformers from the '90s, while still feeling fresh and modern. The soundtrack is equally impressive, with catchy tunes that complement the action and enhance the overall experience. The quirky characters and light-hearted humor kept me smiling throughout my playthrough. The game offers plenty of replay value with a lot of achievements, secret areas, and time trials that challenge you to master each le…
