Hi all o7 Very cool and enjoyable 2D platformer! The music is a bit loud and there are no sound settings. LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE! o7

"Jump/Die/Live" is a very mediocre 2D retro/minimalist platformer where the phoned-in graphics meet an equally phoned-in concept. The floor is lava, it's rising, you have to jump around to get to the exit point and obviously don't fall in the lava. What a time to be alive, this is surely the pinnacle of game design. Truly state of the art. The gameplay handling isn't the worst here but it's also not the best... Super Meat Boy had a million handicaps from terrible graphics onwards, but it overcame just because of the tight controls. Not so here. This features really godawful pixelcrap/minimalist "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Игра 'Jump/Die/Live' – это захватывающий и невероятно динамичный платформер, который заставляет вас постоянно быть в напряжении. Простой, но при этом стильный визуальный стиль отлично сочетается с бешеной скоростью геймплея. Каждая ошибка карается мгновенной смертью, что только добавляет азарта и желания пройти уровень идеально. Управление интуитивно понятное, но овладеть им в совершенстве – задача не из легких. Разработчики предлагают множество интересных уровней, наполненных хитрыми ловушками и неожиданными поворотами. Реиграбельность на высоте, ведь после каждой неудачи хочется сразу же попробовать снова. Несмотря на свою простоту, игра обладает какой-то особой магией, которая заставляет возвращаться к ней снова и снова. Если вы любите сложные, но справедливые платформеры, то 'Jump/Die/Live' обязательно должна быть в вашей библиотеке. Единственный минус – игра может вызывать сильную зависимость! Готовьтесь к бесконечным попыткам и ощущению невероятного удовлетворения после прохождения особо сложного участка. Рекомендую всем любителям хардкора!

It’s one of those brutally challenging platformers that keeps you hooked despite making you rage every few minutes. The controls are tight, and every jump needs to be perfectly timed, or you’re done for. The "die" part of the title? Yeah, you'll be doing that a lot. But somehow, instead of being frustrating, it pushes you to keep trying. The level design is clever, and once you finally nail that impossible section, the satisfaction is real. The only downside, in my opinion, is the lack of achievements. I feel like they would have added extra motivation to keep pushing through the levels. But even without them, if you love tough platformers that test your patience and skill, this one’s definitely worth a shot!
