About Emerald Lake

The Emerald Lake is a children's camp located next to the lake. This camp has long been abandoned due to a series of strange events that happened a long time ago. There is no exact information why the camp closed and became abandoned. The main character is Michael, went to this camp to find his brother Peter, who stopped contacting. Peter, along with his friends, loves to explore abandoned places, they have often gone on such trips, but something happened to them in the camp. Michael came there in the hope of finding answers and saving his brother.

This is a survival horror where you can die. The danger is real and you need not only to find a brother, but also stay alive. The threat is not only enemies, but also an environment in which you can lose one's mind. The atmosphere in the game is a cross between the Soviet Union and the slashers of the 80s. But you are not defenseless, in the game you can use several types of melee weapons.

Features:
-quality sounds
-atmosphere
-weapon

I am sad. I really wanted to like this game because it legit looks awesome! <3 But-- the lack of a graphical options menu has made the game unplayable for me. My FOV is all messed up somehow and I can't pick any items up which basically ends the game for me. I'm going to give this a 'No' for now. I would love to change my review, but I need to be able to play the game. The last update was in August. Hopefully the Dev comes back and adds that menu, which would allow me (and many others who are having the same problems) to enjoy the game. Fingers crossed, friends! :)

Warning: GameGuru Asset Flip!
Emerald Lake is a what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" bought the GameGuru first person shooter construction kit (no coding required, it's just a GUI!) and cobbled out a map or two using stock GameGuru assets... nothing in this game can really be called the creation of the developer, and yet they also failed to credit GameGuru or acknowlegde any of the GameGuru assets. They're trying (badly) to pass someone else's work as their own. It's just a bunch of random GameGuru assets dropped around a really lazy, stock textured GameGuru map template. Some effort went into ripping off the style and theme of the Friday the 13th movies here, but then deception is part of the game for Russian asset flippers. This is no different from any other GameGuru asset flip/construction kit job... badly arranged stock GameGuru assets, sloppy drag-and-drop level design... this isn't a sincerely, genuinely made game and thus it has no genuine value as a real game for gamers. GameGuru is a completely godawful construction kit. If you try to take it seriously as a game, you'll find no resol…

Played on Linux using both Proton and Proton-GE, It runs but has problems, First loading screens flick from loading screen to picture from before or just a black screen, not a major problem, second problem was when you die or complete the Game it plays a Video (wmv) but nether Proton or Proton-GE would play the Videos so the game just quits back to desktop, 3rd Problem was some lighting effects are blue, hard to explain and not a game breaker. Now the Game itself was not fun to play, was not scary, and i should have listen to the other Reviews for this Game. Not sure what Engine was used for this Game, it kind of reminds me of some sort of FPS Construction Kit. So i really cannot recommend this Game, It's just not a Good Game.

It`s hard to review a game that doesn`t seem to work. It has a menu but any attempt to start a New Game just results in CTD `Runtime Error 8203 - File is already open at line 26958` I can`t see any other mention of this so not sure if it`s even worth the effort to try and find a solution. So, not great.

Starts off decent and then quickly becomes stupid. Tons of glitches, horrible voice acting and absolutely retarded AI.
