Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers. Spoiler Free Review.
Cheap scare, how much is it worth to you? So in this game, you have a flashlight and a hidden key to look for to open the gates and escape the camp. The key is in randomized locations throughout Camp Waddalooh. I'm not sure of all the random locations it can be located within the camp, but it seems to be at least in one of 3 main areas. The whole map is pretty small. You walk at a decent rate and you can also run albeit not that much faster than the walking speed. There's this monster than you can hear around you. You do the obvious thing when you see it ... you know .... do I really need to tell you? Spoiler alert
Duh, you shine your flashlight at it and it runs away ... monster is scared of the light
If you don't do what you're supposed to do, then bam, you know what happens next (spoiler alert:
you get a jump scare ... obvi!
You can hear the monster and the audio seemed to be spatial to me at least I could always tell where it was coming from. But you know that thing that happens in horror games .. you know that mechanic .... you know…1 found this helpful
Check out the video of my buddies and I playing through the game for more details: https://youtu.be/y2BzoorN6qE Pretty short game consisting of a single jump scare when you get caught and zero replayabliity. That being said, if you're looking for a super cheap game to scare some friends, it actually is good at that. There is a strategy to staying alive but I won't ruin it because it's more fun to figure out on your own. Main gripe with this game though is that, like I said, there is zero replayability once you beat it. The key to escape is always in the same spot. Would add far more value if there were several places it could be. The game is only $6 though so if you're looking for a neat little horror game for about 30 minutes of fun at most, unless you bring in some friends to watch freak out, then pick it up!1 found this helpful
The game process is short, only about half an hour. Suitable for those horror fans. Replay is too low, it is a one-time game, it is a bit expensive for the original price, but it is quite good at the time of discount. For beginners, you can still try it.
