StoryThe main heroine of the game, Arisa, because of the breakdown of the spaceship gets to an unusual and beautiful planet full of various monsters, which was not in her plans. You will need to help the heroine to fix the ship and get out of this planet, which is not so easy, on the way to complete several tasks and solve the mysteries that keep this mysterious planet. In your adventure you will be assisted by a robot helper named Derk. He is very fond of teasing the main character, because of which there will be a lot of funny situations in the game.
GameplayIn this hand drawn world you will have to solve a lot of mysteries and find a lot of treasures, as well as fight a lot of terrible monsters, although some of them are quite cute. Climb into hard to reach places, sink to the bottom of the ocean in a submarine, ride on an abandoned railroad and, of course, collect a lot of upgrades for the main character.
Key features- The world can be explored non-linearly in the game with several endings available.- Find gems to improve your abilities in the workshop to get to previously unreachable places.- You will face over 70 types of enemies, including 15 challenging boss battles.- Find additional weapons for the protagonist and upgrade them in the workshop on the ship.- A large part of the world to explore will be underwater, this part you will need to explore with the help of a submarine that makes the gameplay more diverse.- The submarine can also be upgraded- Move around the world with the help of an abandoned train network built by another civilization.

The game looks promising and beautiful yet let down by the need to grind for upgrades, especially the submarine and weapon which you both need for a certain map. Then the game throws you at the deep end with the bosses that feel like Dark Soul/ Hollow Knight-eque difficulty for early bosses. There's no hand holding in the game and you end learning to fend for yourself. If you want the tutorials on, you have to unchecked the box so it's not orange and it only activates in process of order you should encounter them. I thought the box was selected but it wasn't and it was a painful start to backtrack all the way to the start because of the save operates in the game. If you die, you spawn back to the last save point. It was a hassle to travel all the way back to the area you were in. The underwater level was by far the most painful experience I have ever experienced in a video game. You get instant killed and no indicator on health gauge if taken damage or not until death (might be a visual glitch.) No way to heal under water. I wish to like the game but all these factors made it not enjoyable overall. Dislike the birds and underwater boss a lot.1 found this helpful
Got this from keymailer Overall it's a chill more casual metrodvidnia game. I found the second jewel went back to ship no robot don't know if bug or just end of content for now. There is a lot of good but I'll try to focus on what I think can be improved. movement can be a bit faster, no just charecter also the moving elvators etc. some areas you can fall to GAME OVER, I think this should be changed to getting damaged and telport to some checkpoint. or at least have the checpoint near where it can happen. enviorment damage is much higher than enemies damage - not sure about it the plant boss seems to have enviorment damage and normal damage Saw weapon not good in my opinion since it first spins in place and by time it attacks I can kill stuff on my own also doesn't do a lot of damge, also kind of pointless against most enemies (I expected it to work on plant boss but it can't reach it's head) Boss sometimes attack from below the screen but it's very hard to see since it's almost below view. Those are my biggest issues for now but mostly it's a fun chill game1 found this helpful
HAND DRAWN? Game looks amazing. Pretty decent Metroidvania and cheap entry point! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_vPx91TTbk Steam Recommendations YouTube TikTok1 found this helpful
Hey, dev released a "major update", november 2025, will have to play again to see it, nice ! ----------------- Old review, may 2025 Played offline. Very fine art !!! Unfinished after 5 years, even if some updates in dec 2024. Yep, played the update, today. Also found placeholders. Says out of Early Access in 2025, with some 5 or 6 areas as of right now. But the dev also said it would have 16 areas, in 2020. So will they add 10 more areas in 2025 ?, hmmmm. Game is undoubtely beautiful. Also very hard in parts for me (69 y.o.). Will give it a positive even in unfinished, as I enjoyed it a lot, but mostly using my own C.E. table. As with other Unity games the game saves in the Regedit (**CAREFUL**, if you don't know, don't dare to touch it, it's a critical file, you are warned). Equipo\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1004853151-3179673780-3869244480-1002\SOFTWARE\DefaultCompany\Exploaris Vermis story (or somesuch numbers). Export the .reg anywhere, double clicking the .reg overwrites any save with that. Since the dev won't enlighten us on the Zircon next steps in Discussions ... If you want, explore more with this help, for fun and maybe find how to continue, who knows. Cheat Engine: …1 found this helpful
Indie darling 'Exploaris' is a Metroidvania that trades grit for gorgeous whimsy. It's an art exhibition you can double-jump through. My body is ready for 1.0.
A picturesque metroidvania about a girl that crash landed on an alien (frog) planet. I said it multiple times during my play through that the game is a screenshot game. By which I mean in still images the game is beautiful. I don't see anywhere it stated that the game is hand drawn but it does look that way. The aspects of metroidvanias are prevalent even in the first couple minutes of the game. My biggest gripes with the game were the combat is a bit clunky and the animations are a bit stiff. With that said I could see this being a great game to get lost in.
