So, there is a solid idea here with the Wall-E pacifist style protag. The platforming is mostly fine. The music is ok (we'll get back to that). The designs of bosses looks good and can appreciate the hand-drawn art. HOWEVER, there are some MAJOR flaws with this game. The sound design is a MAJOR problem here. The music is ok.... when it's there. The game does a weird thing where music goes away, or comes back blasting before going away- boss music is hit or miss for being there. In addition, there are a LOT of SFX that feel like they are missing; hitting a boss or getting hit by a boss is just a thing and the lack of SFX REALLY dampens the experience- the hit impact is not there. Exploration is a chore. The save spots can be extremely separated out meaning there is gonna be a LOT of repetition. Also, having only one warp point per area (5 total) is ok, but there is gonna be a LOT of backtracking, especially when you are lost. It's also SUPER easy to get lost in this game and have no clue where to progress (triple boss in one area does not help). Movement itself is fine. This is a very challenging Metroidvania platformer. I gave up on the final boss as the window to do damage is so short and frustrating. I also found the parts where you morph into what appears to be a sperm to be quite annoying. Mixed feelings on this one, but will recommend.

Punishing platforming with no difficulty options, long backtracking when you die, minimal explanations or tutorials. Some may like it, I don't.

+ the game is decent in size - one of the worst boss designs I have encountered! boring in mechanics and looks and fight - mediocre art direction and music, and the music kept cutting out and returning after a minute - the game is not hard, the controls are weird. floaty jump that you never get used to and awkward edge collisions makes every platforming are a puzzle, "am I equipped to navigate this area? or am I just bad at platforming?" to the point the game put signs to teach you that you need certain power ups in the upcoming section - basic power ups that adds nothing new to the genre if you are thirsty for metroidvania and you have no other decent option, this one could be ok

Pretty annoying game. Hit boxes are weird. Ill jump on the same enemy in the same spot twice and one will hit them and one will hit me. I dont think there are nearly enough save points either. Opening the map doesnt pause the game. No way to rebind controls. A little guidance on where to go next wouldve helped too.

The game has improved considerably since it first came out, especially the forest biome. However, it still comes short: - no way to pause the game - music still occasionally fails to loop - too few save points in the core - start button menu still has a few visual bugs lingering. This is really close to being a hidden gem now, but its not quite there yet.
