Very fun. It's not normally the type of thing that I play, but when I saw it pop up on steam I was very pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the character that the world had - from the actual characters just pottering about to the sneaky things in the background that you're rewarded for clicking on - it felt alive. I definitely recommend giving it a go, a clear amount of care has gone into the story, sound design and more. The music felt good in the world, as well as in the combat, which in itself felt very fast and intuitive. I could savour the boss fights and enjoy their design while also panicking at the difficulty; the same with normal encounters, the zones and enemies always felt fresh! (I died 2 minutes into the game with over-confidence, but I laughed the whole way with my failings) A solid price for the product. Give it a go12 found this helpful
Fun but short game. Takes around 2.5h to complete but its still worth it. 4/55 found this helpful
https://www.reddit.com/r/Lovecraft/comments/127h9r8/eye_of_dakess_lingering_promises/ Eye of D'akess resembles a Cthulhu Mythos story, with implications lurking in the background. Mounting questions that will never be replied—only theorise. I rarely theorise about video games unless it's Eternal Darkness. I'll be thinking about Eye of D'akess long after I finish it.4 found this helpful
