Good game, but no map means you're gonna get lost and maybe frustrated.

Had high hopes for this based on reviews but was sorely disappointed. The game is a roguelike with procedural gen but its mostly in name only. You fight the same 4-5 enemies all game long. Every level looks like a generic industrial building and they all feel the EXACT same and you will run into the same layout constantly, and theyre just so drab and boring. The 2.5d although unique is honestly just frustrating to navigate, and why theres no map leads to being confused and wandering around levels lost. Theres lots of different classes but they only play slightly different. They all use the same sword, then have a different special and ultimate ability, although some of the abilities are nearly useless. Even with this it doesn't really change things up because you're still just mashing attack with the sword and then peppering in your secondary attack, but it doesnt feel varied enough like other Roguelikes. Other things aren't described, like I unlocked some teleporters but had no idea what they did, and didn't have a girl rescued I neeed to beat the game but had no idea how to get to her or what to do. The game also makes little sense, as you can't save mid run or you lose most of…

Fallback is a compact but ambitious action-roguelike that builds its identity around atmosphere, momentum, and a sense of desperate ascent. Developed by Endroad and published with support from Microids, the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been driven underground by environmental disaster. Generations later, the machines originally built to protect the survivors have grown oppressive, transforming the underground refuge into a mechanical labyrinth. You step into the role of a volunteer who rises up to reclaim the surface, fighting through layers of industrial ruins filled with traps, drones, and corrupted guardians. The setup is familiar but delivered with enough style and energy to give the world its own personality. The first thing that stands out about Fallback is its visual and tonal cohesion. The game uses a 2.5D perspective, allowing for dynamic camera angles and layered environments that feel more expansive than a traditional sidescroller. Industrial corridors glow with neon lights, dormant machines hum with menace, and each successive region takes on its own visual identity—either denser, darker, or more chaotic than the last. This visual cra…

4,5 out of 10 Its way to grind heavy. Each run takes a really long time and the next run puts you right at the beginning of this really long game. Its a shame because its very good in many ways.
