Overall note: 8.5/10 (This review grade is relative to minor graphic bugs like drinking water button going green, tether going across the city, feeding hand placement being fixed and is somehow more based on gameplay) As you can see the note is positive, because the game is a great success in it's current state. The game does look to have a big cinematic or panoramic style to it and I like it a lot because it brings a lot of depth to the game and this is the kind of game that stuns you with the marvelous terrains and sceneries it offers. The cultural aspect of the Mongols territory, religious aspects like Shamanism and Spirits and specially the scavenging to survive on horseback is specially well designed and interesting to play as you ride across multiple easier or harder terrains to negociate. The building or crafting is far from difficult to pickup and staying away from complicated town building games is the best thing I have seen for a survival crafting game. The flavor is there, the immersion is there, the scenery, the survival is hard and the design is actually one of the best games I have seen and will be staple of it's genre. I feel really disappointed with this game. I bought it excited to play, but I haven’t been able to play it at all because it keeps crashing. I’ve spent a lot of time troubleshooting the issue, reading through different forum posts, and trying the various solutions and suggestions that other players have shared, but unfortunately nothing has worked. As things stand, I have no choice but to refund the game since I’m unable to play it whatsoever. If the crashing issues are fixed in the future, I may consider purchasing the game again.

I love this game, this is so far my favorite horse game. I don't mind if the game isn't historically accurate, I think 100% accuracy would be really boring in games. The game is great so far, this is what I was looking for for a long time. There is even draft horses I'm so happy! To be honest, I would love a sort of mix between a peaceful option where there are not predators nor corruption, but the deliveries would be a little bit harder to make the game more challenging and still fun to play. I'm a bit stressed out whenever there are predators running behind me, I'm scared for my horse and since I play on controller, it's a bit hard to aim at ennemies. It's still an early access so it's normal but predators movements are a bit wonky it's funny. I haven't tried corruption yet, I turned off the option for now but from what I understood, it'll be a major part in story mode and you won't be able to turn it off while on story mode. I don't mind if there is ways to fight the corruption easily with perhaps pets or NPCs helping you out so it's less stressing out players, perhaps! Really fun game; there is a bunch of glitches, but that is to be expected with an early access game! The horses are absolutely stunning, and I love them so, so much! The quests are a little bit repetitive, so I hope that is fixed in the future.

I usually don't leave a review on a game in early access. But, it seems like reviews recently have forgotten this game is very early into beta. They have a very clear road map on what they plan on doing with this game. I have very much enjoyed the content that is out so far. I look forward to more content being added over time so that developers can continue to improve the game based on the feedback they receive.

*Played on Steam Deck* I rarely write reviews, but I felt inclined to write one for this game in particular as I would like to share my thoughts from perhaps a different perspective from what I’ve been reading. While I haven’t played this game (yet) for that many hours, I feel as though I have a good feel for it so far. I have also been following the development of this game since the beginning. To preface for my review, I have been riding horses for 28+ years. I do not know a life without horses in it. With that being said, aside from RDR2, this is the most realistic horse game I have found thus far. The horses’ gaits and mechanics are pretty spot on, and that’s a huge feat in the video game world. To me, the horse controls do not feel “clunky” like others have said, but instead feel relatively natural coming from an equestrian. The horses bend very realistically while turning and show personality that I haven’t seen much of in many games. I really think the devs deserve some credit for all this.
