About Far from Noise
You are balanced on the edge of a cliff in an old rusting car.
The sun is setting behind the horizon and night will soon fall. With no immediate means of escape, perhaps all that's left is to attempt to feel some connection with the world at the end of it all.
Far from Noise is a single-player narrative told through dialogue choices. As day fades to night, experience quiet moments of interaction with a variety of creatures and witness the transformative forces of nature as they happen around you. Through conversation with a welcome companion, begin to discover your reasons for being out there, your relationship with the world, life and death, and if you'll see tomorrow.
Narrative game where you talk from inside the car with a deer. Deer is wise, you're not. To be honest after some time I can't remember much from this one except the car and a deer. I guess that sums up the whole experience.
4 found this helpful
Far From Noise is what I would call a "therapy game". I mostly played... I dunno, almost a decade ago now. It was during a profoundly difficult point in my life, and I don't think I can say that a short game on Steam helped me through it, not exactly - but it did provide a few moments of peace and perspective in the middle of everything. Whether you need that or not, the game is quite beautiful in its own small way. I can't go back and play it again now, due to all the heavy associations it has for me personally, but I still wanted to give it a thumbs up for existing.1 found this helpful
why wont my car work?
A game all about perspective. Themes of mortality, presence, solitude, and the little things are the big things. A neat story, style, and soundtrack. A good game to receive a good perspective from.
This was a beautiful experience. Thanks, George & co.
