Echoes (2021)

I know the devs are obviously not native speakers so I don't expect that level of English but the amount of typos and just nonsensical/disjointed text in such a short game is honestly embarrassing. Why even offer the additional language option if you don't even bother enough to literally check the bare minimum for [i]nonsense and missing/extra text[/i]? There's so many good games from indie/small publishers that it's really not an excuse to give this game a thumbs up. Apart from that, I liked the art and atmosphere, the story did suck me in but it ended kind of abruptly. I wish it was longer or had some kind of epilogue/better conclusion.

The first story from the Baba Nura studio The Sin was interesting. This second one just ended at the moment when the reader felt that it was starting. The events that began to unfold during the storm in the abandoned house looked interesting, but suddenly it was over. Without explanation. So sudden that I felt like the game had crashed. A shame. This was too little.

The ideological inspirers of this community carefully find and preserve information about Russian folklore, ancient life and omens. I, as a person who is very close to these topics, was very interested in playing the visual novel "Echoes". The game fully justified my expectations. Just for an hour of game time we plunge into a very personal, sad and in some places creepy story, which will definitely make you dive into your innermost thoughts for a while. I would like to mention the wonderful sound accompaniment, as well as very atmospheric drawing of the game background. I recommend you to complete this game. If you put aside inflated expectations, excessive skepticism and for a moment imagine that you have to learn someone's personal story, you will definitely be satisfied!

can't really recommend this unfortunately. a looooooot of grammatical errors. the story is interesting enough but gets cut short just as it's picking up steam. the art is passable in its uncanniness but sometimes it gets really rough. a shame
