Feline Forensics and the Meowseum Mystery

Where do I start? Don't judge a book by its cover, like 'I' did. Don't let this game fool you by it's pretty simple artstyle. Behind it you truly have a very exciting detective story with twists and turns while you interrogate the suspects and witnesses. A fill-in-the-blank text system works as your notebook in which you have to unravel how the story truly happened. You gather more and more terms and definitions as you speak with the people at the crime scene so figuring out which word goes into which blank will take some time....especially if you don't HAVE the right word yet. I enjoyed this game pretty much so did my stream viewers as we unravelled the secrets around. Sadly the game is in english only, so if you aren't good in the language you will face an even bigger challenge to fill in the blanks of your notebook so I would love to see this or future games to get translated into more languages. Besides from that a clear recommendation from me if you like to experience a nice and funny detective game. 4/5 Stars because of missing more language translations

If you are a fan of mysteries, puzzles, or detective games, this game should be right up your alley! The controls are smooth, the puzzles are interesting, and the dialogue is fresh. The animal theme is well-done, the music is light and fun, and the story is engaging. My main points of improvement would be: 1. Enable mouse mode to select the pages of books, sections, etc. that are still keyboard bound. Also allow for camera movement using the mouse, maybe with a third-wheel click. 2. Some of the puzzle solutions were a bit confusing semantically. For one puzzle, inverting the values when the sentence structure, even though valid semantically and grammatically, would fail the puzzle. Also, some of the solutions felt weirdly conjoined. [spoiler] For example, the solution where the Artist is the Client of the Punk, so the alarm can be tripped when he stole the gemstone. It felt like a jump in logic to combine these two solutions, when really I would think the Artist is the Client of the Punk so the Artist can frame the Punk when he tripped the alarm or something like that.[/spoiler] This could very well be a nitpick, but there were a couple of solutions when I felt like the log…

If you like the investigation dynamic in the Ace Attorney series or the Touch Detective series, you're going to like this as well. Lots of puns and social criticism, as well. You walk, question the suspects and witnesses, you walk, you touch everything, you walk, unlock new things, you walk and write in your lil notebook. Everything is in b&w, besides small color notes, and the detectivesque music sets the mood very well. Beware of a missable achievement, unless you don't care about restarting (and overwrite your save data). The rest is pretty straightforward and enjoyable. /!\ If your eyes are sensitive to high contrast, like me, you may experience eye pain after playing for too long, so take it easy, but def play it, it's worth it.

Cute and fun to play!

Stupendous mystery game of the kind I like to call Deduction Games, where you fill in the blanks of a form or book using the clues and story as you uncover it. Love that mechanic. Brilliant art style, the noir vibes with the small hits of colour are so good. The writing is great, a good little mystery that wasn't too difficult but enough to get you thinking. Loved the puns too. I also enjoyed the revision mechanic and getting to correct statements and clues when you find they are wrong. and the scraps of info section were a good way to remember every aspect of the case. Really well done and I do hope for another game!

The art style is cute and the characters are fun, but the gameplay is kind of frustrating. I usually like these fill in the blank mysteries, but I think this one needs more clues / prompts to indicate what kind of word should go in which blank. Also so much of the game is just walking through every room to check whether any characters have new dialogue. In order to trigger inspection of each piece of evidence, you have to rotate the piece into a singular configuration that often is not clearly indicated. I like the story but the mechanics are just too annoying.
