About Firefield

■ About developmentA solo development work by a 45-year-old with no programming experience who wrote approximately 120,000 lines of code and 100 achievements in 3 months using only AI.The only development partner is Anthropic's AI agent "Claude Code." I don't use Unity or Unreal, I created my own custom engine and map editor. There is not a single line of code or specifications written by humans. All 100 Steam achievements are automatically generated by AI.Subtitles are available in 95 languages and full audio dubbing is available in 70 languages. All translation, dubbing, and quality checks are performed using AI.■ Story1997.A great king was killed by a flame called the Fire Field.Rainz killed the king. The world hated him. However, on the other hand, there were a small number of people who worshiped him as a savior. As one of the "people of Rainz," you step into the cemetery in the north where the king is buried. No one who goes down to the basement of the cemetery ever returns. Is the truth of the king sleeping there? Rainz's sin? Or is it an inherited curse?Fire Field is a dark fantasy action RPG that takes you deep underground.■ What you can currently playIn the current version, you can explore up to the 5th floor underground.Enemies become stronger each time you go down a floor, and a boss awaits you at the deepest level.Your goal is to equip yourself in the city, advance underground one layer at a time, and survive as you dive deeper.■ Features・Dungeon exploration gets more and more tense as you go underground・Underground structure that changes every time you explore・More than 100,000 equipment variations, hack and slash elements・Item system that gives different abilities to each piece of equipment・Customization and appearance changes for each equipment part・A system where you become a ghost when you die and wander through the reverberations that remain underground.・A fragmented story about Rainz, the King, and the Fire Field.・Rough and cold visual expression with the atmosphere of the 90s in mind・Battle with the boss waiting in the depths■ Supported languages・Subtitles: Supports 95 languages around the world (all translated by AI)・Audio: Supports full dubbing in 70 languages (all generated by AI)・Supported platform: Windows■ About Early AccessThrough Early Access, Fire Field aims to further expand its underworld, enemies, and story. This work is currently being developed primarily as a single-player experience. As part of our future roadmap, we are planning to implement Steam Deck compatibility, a Mac version, and online co-op play.■ About Fire FieldFire Field is a work based on the theme, "People disappear, but the cause remains."The deeper you go underground, the more you gradually uncover what happened in the past and what the flames left behind. This is still the beginning of the story. But the flames are already burning.

It's kind of impressive that Claude Code can make a clone of Diablo 1 that isn't the worst Diablolike in my Steam game list, in the "it's kind of impressive that you taught an elephant to tap-dance" way. But much like the proverbial tap-dancing elephant, it's also not very good, though I'm not entirely sure that's the point. Anyway it's pretty basic and I completed it, even clearing basically all of each map, in under 2 hours. The pathfinding around terrain obstacles is also Bad, which made me think I was softlocked at one point, unable to pass between a door and the back side of a staircase to reach the next level down, until I found the one tiny area where I could walk through. Likewise, there were some issues with visibility with enemies occasionally flickering out of existence because you stepped around a corner that the game thought was much more real than the graphics depicted. Oh, there's a cool feature where you can rotate items in your inventory by pressing R while holding them, though. It's sort of funny that this isn't in any other inventory tetris game that comes to mind, but is in the vibecoded one... Anyway, as of v1.7.0 it's not recommended except for curiosity ab…

This is such an easy recommendation. I usually dislike A.I. projects by default but in this case you can feel the love almost in every step of the way. Presentation - dark and gritty and old-school. Gameplay - more slow-paced than typical ARPG's, rewarding exploration. Mechanisms - again on the simpler side but very well thought and done. Also the dev is closer to my age (middle-aged/old guy) and without coding experience which makes it even more impressive in my eyes! The game plays and feel closer to D1 than D4 which is good. Also feels addictive once everyting clicks. Hope this goes well and see more of this type of old-school ARPG's - like Tower of kalemonvo.

This feels like the beginning of something with real potential. What hit me almost immediately was a sense of rediscovering the core appeal of loot-driven dungeon crawling. Killing enemies, finding gear, and slowly becoming stronger — the foundation is already here. More importantly, the game understands the emotional loop that makes ARPGs so addictive. Finding unidentified gear with different rarities and unique properties, then finally identifying it and wondering *“What did I just get?”* brought me back to the feeling I had when I first played Diablo years ago. That excitement — comparing drops, chasing upgrades, imagining new builds — already exists here. It doesn’t just copy Diablo’s surface-level aesthetics. It captures the same core appeal that made early Diablo memorable: anticipation, progression, experimentation, and the constant feeling that the next drop could completely change your build. The dark atmosphere also works really well. There’s a strong sense of tension and immersion throughout the experience, and it already has that “one more run” energy that good ARPGs need. What excites me the most is the potential. As more spells, gear effects, enemy types, and b…

This game has some real potential. Regardless if it's AI, the game is close to a grasp at a feel for something great. There needs to be more features that need to be added, the game is relatively short to beat if you have a moderate experience with arpgs, and I didn't die a single time except near the final boss where I was at my last pot from a full inventory. I would recommend to just support the developer of this game if you want something close to Diablo 1, because currently there is literally nothing like Diablo 1 and this was the closest thing I've ever played in recent years that comes close to it. Some of the pathing could be better and soundmixing of barrel explosions. The stash quest is bugged, but really the game isn't long enough yet for any repeats, but for 3 months of work this is extremely impressive and I would really enjoy an ironman mode with much more stats, a slower movement pacing, and more emphasis on positioning. There is a lot more work put in than some garbage AI asset vomit, and the game has a good sense of cohesion for visuals. There is a lot of ideas brewing in my head for this game and it has a lot of good things it can amount to. When this game is mor…

Honestly, I think it really comes down to what you're looking for in this game. I gotta give huge props to the developer for building something this solid entirely with AI, especially with zero coding knowledge. This isn't just some casual mobile app; it's got a lot of depth and grind to it. Sure, it doesn't have the flashy innovation, fast-paced action, or 3D graphics of modern titles, but it has this nostalgic vibe... It genuinely feels like you're playing a game straight out of the 90s. There's this low-key satisfaction in slowly taking down enemies, grabbing loot, and leveling up, which naturally opens up new paths forward. The dev is actively taking feedback and tweaking the game step by step. It's fun right now, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
