AI Roguelite 2D

I really enjoy AI Dungeon, but this project is just a rough concept that isn't fun to play and hasn't been updated in quite some time. There are no signs that future updates will ever happen.

I'll write a more in-depth review as I play more, here are some initial thoughts. I'd love to see the sandbox mode and related features from the first Roguelite game implemented here. Features like sliders for player hurt, enemy encounter, item drop, and item type event checkers (idk how to call them) would be fantastic additions. Currently, it's kind of hard to keep playing. Three or four enemies spawning while I'm casually talking to an NPC and ganging up on me when I don't even have a proper weapon makes it challenging to continue past the ten-minute mark in every save. Speaking of saves, a quick save feature without needing to exit to the menu would be greatly appreciated. While 2D's visuals aren't quite as polished as Roguelite's user interface and design, the AI response time in this game is significantly faster, while both are using the free cloud service. And also the fact that I can control my character to move around is just ten times cooler than standard text RPG. Overall, this game has a really great concept, much like the original Roguelite. Tomorrow will mark a year without updates. It looks like this one has been abandoned. Get AI Roguelite instead.

Got this just to support the dev. Hopefully it can turn into infinite Diablos and Survivor-likes later.

Edit: So I came back to this game after some time...glad to see I could get into a game...after some troubleshooting. It still crashes when I change the settings above the default value for world gen, but still it works for me...though I still have some issues where it won't download everything completely(it even says that I canceled the world gen, even though I didn't), but luckily there's the verify button. Gameplay is solid...but it still needs some work... 6/10 (Still prefer AIRL and even Life of an NPC than this tho) For the first and only 10+ minutes with this game, I experienced crashes. First it was on startup, then it was after world generation. I couldn't get this game to run properly, hopefully it gets fixed, but for now I have refunded and plan to stick to the regular AI Roguelite...
