About Fishing With The Homies
Set Out On A Quest to Rule the Ponds!

Fishing with the Homies is a surreal Fishing Simulation Game where you fish your way across several ponds and lakes to catch all of the fish you can! Armed with what could charitably be called a fishing rod, you will hone your angling skills to best each pond’s established fishermen and gather new equipment.

Looting the Waters
However, you can’t catch these fish with just your hands! (Well, some people can, but you never managed to do it.) Instead, your fishing rod, line, reel and bobber will help you conquer the ponds and fish up the wonders of the world!
These fish won’t simply sit there as you real them in, once you have one hooked you’ll need to tire them out before you can reel them in. Pay attention to what direction the fish is trying to swim in and use your Arrow Keys to fight against them. Remember to keep an eye on your line, as they will put a large amount of tension on it as they fight back, and may even snap the line if you aren’t careful.
Fish don’t seem to be the only things in the water though. There are a few shadows in the water that don’t quite look like fish, but it's not clear what they are. Maybe fishing them up as well will help you in some way.

The Lurking Legend
But be warned, young fisher, for not everything is as it seems. While it seems like everything is sunshine and rainbow trout, there is a great darkness that lies just beneath the surface. Perhaps it is your destiny to finally uncover these very reel threats…or maybe you’re out of your depth.

This game was very fun, interesting. Dialogues of npc's there is entertaining. I defeated last boss with those zombies that I create when I catch some bright green leafs in lake. To sell fish you need to open I inventory in shop and sell fish - press right mouse button. I didn't knew that. Game made me feel good. Amazing maps. One with moon, one with sunrise. The other with night. Read what npc's are telling. Its funny and entertaining. Buy every item. I guess I' m now in the mountain top. x D3 found this helpful
Don't bother. It's buggy and unfinished garbage.1 found this helpful
"Fishing With The Homies" is a bizarre "experimental" game "experience" where you take a basic fishing sim and bolt on a frankly weird metagame of creating zombie/homonculuses (homonculii?) out of the things you find. Unfortunately, crazy off the wall game concepts, just like really solid game concepts, only work when coupled to a high quality technical delivery, which this doesn't have. What do you do in the game? Fishing and necromancy. Only with bad graphics. This is another case of Itch failing the one single job it has... to protect and preserve the gaming industry from badly made amateur games, by creating a containment zone to isolate amateur drivel, reinforced with endless participation trophies and high-5's every time an amateur dev manages to get their build to compile. Regrettably, in this instance, amateur drivel leaked out onto Steam and now we have to put up with it. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's les…1 found this helpful
