Freshman Year presents us a one night in the life of a college freshman – Nina. And given that it’s just one night, it is a very short journey filled with a few choices you, the player, is supposed to make. It’s a story portraying a very unpleasant experience that the protagonist had to go through. And it’s something that everyone else was oblivious to. It’s showing something that unfortunately happens in real life to people and is meant to open our eyes that such situations need us to react. The game might be short, but shows a topic that we should not avoid talking about. In fact it can be considered a call that if we encounter situations like one presented in the game or something similar, we should act. Also it's free, so play it. I played it on YouTube (very long time ago) and at the time might have not caught the message correctly, but now definitely understand it way better. https://youtu.be/Sx0SwjeJIJA2 found this helpful

It's been a while since I've played this one. I remember it as a really heartfelt experience that has really stuck with me in the 10 years since I've played it. It's really short. I spent under an hour with it. Honestly though, I think that's a good length for what it is -- a vignette into a painful, lonely encounter. A game that would later help me navigate my feelings about sexual coercion and SA. It's a cool indie visual novel thing if you're into those!
Playing as Nina who doesn't carry her blue mug (very good) to Crawley's. This was what she depicts... with my obfuscations. Nina texts with her best friend about attending in Crawley's while they do remember having made some mistakes some time ago. Nina dons a bold look as she scroll across her laptop.
You do get two choices of outfit for Nina that don't affect the story.
Waiting wasn't that much of a burden since time passes very quickly in our favor, though Nina is portrayed a little bit unreliable with her rate of reply. At night, school children and college children run around Crawley's. [strike]Why are children running around Crawley's at night? They must be past their bedtime![/strike] Nina encounters a man
, threatening, of which that he's of some sort of shadiness. His name is Clark, and he might have a swollen right arm to understate. "He's really nice/friendly", but look what happens next
. And then she starts giving out her personal info to him.
Impatient minutes of waiting for Jenna with several Long Island Iced Teas drank later (my goodness, she's a heavy drinker), and her instincts lead her to re-visiting the same man w…
