This game is fun. I play it every day. In my view, its about picking apart the defenses of a dug in enemy. Much of the allies job in WW2 was to do exactly that. If you just throw your troops at the enemy emplacements they will get butchered. The game has a lot of replay value if you enjoy revisiting missions to refine your tactics and try to bring all your guys home again. The maps are the right size for me. Any bigger and they would take too long to finish.8 found this helpful
About 40 hours so far and I love this game! i went right out and bought 2 more Frontline games - including the newest one World at war. The maps are great. You dont need tutorials or manuals the size and weight of a boat anchor to pick it up. Frontline World War II is my favvorite so far as you can skirmish any map you want and there is a lot of content and free DLC. Ive spent a LOT more money on war themed games and been highly dissapointed. Maps are good strategy, music is great, and radio broadcasts and period radio commercials really set the mood. just enough to keep you for the one more turn or kill one more unit. Bottom line. This game is FUN! A ton of companies would do well to see how this single developer does it. hand drawn units and maps complete the charm. If you wanna play a wargame light that is still completely entertaining and engaging and most of all FUN go for it.4 found this helpful

Frontline is a game that may appeal to fans of beer and pretzel-style games. With its well-designed gameplay, I have found myself playing it multiple times and thoroughly enjoying the experience. Although it may appear cartoony at first, the game offers a depth of strategy that fans of Panzer Corps 2 or World War II games may appreciate. The game features unit carryover between scenarios, covering every major battle in World War II. I recommend purchasing the Frontline Complete edition, which includes all scenarios and campaigns, and is currently available at a discounted price. While it may not appeal to everyone, I have found it to be an engaging and enjoyable game. 8/102 found this helpful

Another awesome entry from the Frontline Games Series. More than attention to detail with everyone of their games, but you learn something new about this important part of history as well. Always fun to play and never boring to me. A great turn based experience.
