About Game Dev Arcade
Game Dev Arcade is a collection of basic arcade games from a variety of genres ranging from top down shooters to platformers. They all feature individual leaderboards and Steam Achievements.
You are dropped on Mars with one objective - to kill all aliens! In this top down shooter, run across the Mars landscape eliminating all threats. How long can you survive??
You have been taken down to the Ghoul's basement to be served for dinner. Can you escape the maze and return home? Level up your evasion skills as you continue to escape.
A platformer where you control a Marble and try to collect all of the crystals before making it to the end of the level! Don't move too fast, or you may just fall off the edge.
These games were developed by Valthazier from Bulwark Creative. They were made to help show how simple video games are created, and there are many videos about the development of these games on Bulwark Creative's social media profiles. Full source code of the games can also be downloaded to view in the Unreal Engine 5.0 Editor.
Many game ideas were created by GameDev.tv and most assets used are courtesy of Epic Game's Unreal Engine store.

"Game Dev Arcade" is an abandoned Early Access collection of amateur made asset flip tier minigames and tech demos... and there's very little here of value to anyone. They do make source code available, however, so that's noble. But as a prospective for gamers to spend their scarce time, compared to better gaming experiences, I can't rate this. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming idustry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should y…4 found this helpful
