Get the Ball Rolling is a single player adventure puzzle platformer with physics, portals, powerups and exploration. As a ball with little to no recollection of your past, it's up to you to discover why you were put on a strange island filled with gateways. While still early in development, Get the Ball Rolling is a fully playable game from start to finish, including a mainland island connected to 13 puzzles through portals, a finale puzzle, 6 collectable permanent powerups (Jump, Double Jump, Climb and more), 3 temporary powerups (Big Ball, Fast Ball, Multi Ball), a 3 profile save/load and hot reload system, and more!
Cost: $9.99. This price will not change upon leaving Early Access.
Current estimated time to completion: 3+ hours.
Keyboard + Mouse and Controllers supported!
New Demo out now!
-Play Puzzles 1 through 5 (Out of 14)!
-Explore the entire Mainland!
-Acquire all 6 of the game's powers!
Full Disclosure: The Demo contains a large portion of the game. Not all of it, but the most polished parts. If you decide to purchase the game to see puzzles 6-14, I thank you deeply! But please be aware, while the latter half of the game is completely functional and contains many unique ideas and mechanics, it is unpolished. This will of course change over time into a fully polished game with regular updates and patches. GTBR is only 1 year old! Thanks for reading! <3

Quite fun learning and mastering the movement and power ups in the game! Most of the puzzles are easy-medium but just enough to make you think. Great way to spend an afternoon!! I had a lot of fun playing this game so far, and I definitely can't wait for more updates! I bought it after seeing that it's a marble game (I love marble games lol) and it definitely wasn't what I was expecting, but in a good way. I never played a marble game that plays kind of like a metroidvania, but that's exactly what this felt like. Getting better abilities as you traverse the world and try to find where to go next is very interesting, and the puzzles and platforming get more and more creative as you go onto harder levels. I still haven't beat the game quite yet, but I'm excited for what more there is to come. Awesome work so far!! Also I suggest opening up a discord/some other means of getting feedback, as I'd love to suggest a few things but also you can maybe build a community around your game :)1 found this helpful

It scratches that metroidvania itch. Lots of puzzles to solve using unique abilities. The exploration and progression is fun. The game is still in Early Access so I can't knock it for having bugs. The levels and puzzles feel like they've had a lot of work put into them. Some areas could be redesigned a little better to make elements look like they belong and have a smoother level flow (ex: the area with a bunch of spikey balls). But otherwise, the game seems like it's starting out in Early Access in a decent state, it's playable, and it's fun.1 found this helpful
