GNOMER
Gnomer is a rogue-lite game where you take control of a hero knight fighting his way through waves of gnomes, trying to reach lower levels filled with even more dangerous gnomes. During your journey down, you choose which levels you drop to, with each having a specific reward ranging from stat upgrades to card booster packs containing special cards.UNPACK THOSE CARDS !
Effect Cards bring a new, unique twist to the game. You get to collect them like trading card game cards, and each one has a specific effect. For example, one can light your projectiles on fire, make enemies explode when dying to electricity, modify the way your crossbow shoots, and so much more. It’s only up to you to try all the different combinations.CHOOSE YOUR PATH
During your playthrough, you choose which level to visit next. You are presented with a randomly generated tree where the links between levels are intertwined. You can then choose whether to pick a harder level (which has a better reward though) or take it easy and choose an easy one. What Steam players say

✦ AI summary
Players praise Gnomer's fresh concept, enjoyable roguelite gameplay with good card-building mechanics and well-balanced difficulty, though some note an uneven difficulty curve between bosses. The main criticism centered on repetitive clicking mechanics has been addressed by developer updates that improved quality of life, though players also mention desires for more content like additional heroes and levels, and some frustration with the inability to save progress mid-run.
Simple in nature, but executed nicely and has a good amount of depth. Difficulty feels well-balanced, cards are fun, and the bosses are enjoyable. ...Still no printer ink.3 found this helpful
I was checking the game already during the development and the idea is very fresh and funny. I mean who doesn't like gnomes right? Good job done and congrats to release. Now I just need some free time to master this!2 found this helpful
EDIT: After a dev update, the QOL has gone way up in this game! Between the fire rate being made automatic on charged shots, and reducing some of the click times on level selects, the game feels a bit more fluid. I really like the build mechanics and the cards. If you like a challenging roguelite, this is the game for you! Original Review: The concept is very fun, but I think the core shooting element is not constructed right. In this genre, having to continuously click to shoot is WAY to repetitive - holding down LMB gives you a charged shot on release, while clicking gives a very ineffective weak shot. In every other vampire survivor type game, you simply hold to shoot at a constant rate. This is the only critique I have for the game, but because it's a fundamental part of the game, I just can't recommend it.1 found this helpful
Gnomer is honestly one of the best indie games out there with huge potential! Loving it, but that Snake boss absolutely wrecked me. The difficulty curve is wild-Gnome King is a total breeze, and the snake is 20x harder. Sucks that you cant save your progress, losing your run hurt, but thats the point i guess. It definitely needs more heroes and levels, but the core gameplay is brilliant. For that money definetly worth it.
Fun little game to play. Feels like the type of game youd play at school with friends, seeing who can get further. Can't help feeling a little bitter than I cant find the time to get all the achievements.
